All America, all the time. On the side of freedom and liberty, your voice of hope and truth is here. The Bongino Report, PM.

With Dan Bongino.

Dan Bongino (0:32)

Holy Moses, I come back from the weekend. We're back on radio.

And it's like all hell broke loose about AI, tech. I come back and it's like Reverend Kane. Remember Reverend Kane from Poltergeist?

Cash Patel (0:47)

We're all gonna die.

Dan Bongino (0:51)

I was like, what? What did I? What did I miss?

Jim, did I miss? Did I miss something?

In case you don't know where the show is going to go today, we are going to do something revolutionary. And if you don't sense or hear the dripping sarcasm in my voice, I'm sorry, I may have done that wrong. We're going to rationally and reasonably process some information that came in last week about AI. And we're going to help form a reasonable opinion or output without doing Reverend Cain or without doing the other thing either. Like, hey, this is all great. We should just ignore guardrails and damn the torpedoes full steam ahead.

But I come back. You know, I like to chat with producer Jim before the show. He's my friend and all. I noticed on his X count this weekend, an X account, he was doing what he always does, putting up photos of smoked meats, which he thinks is an art form. I am not a smoker of fine meats, so I don't know if you'd like to see what meat Jim was smoking. Then you could check him out at X at JJ Verde. But I come back today and I'm like, dude, you know what this reminds me of? That the hell breaking loose this weekend. I'm a young buck Secret Service. I was buck with a B, so don't worry about FCC. I'm a young buck. Although I couldn't, you know, that'd be interesting. And yeah, I don't think we're allowed to say that. Podcast, yeah, but radio. So I go down to St. Simons Island, and I had some experience in doing Secret Service motorcades, you know, vehicles and cars and stuff. So I don't know what's happening like that. Was it the G8 in St. Simons Island? I don't really remember. But they said, Dan, can you go train or help train the locals in motorcade security? You know, we're gonna need some help. I said, yeah, sure, whatever, man. So I go down there, and it's like a three, four day exercise. And there was this one local police officer who was a wonderful guy. Not a knock. He was actually hilarious. And every time we did an AOP, an assault on principle exercise, where you know, you fake an attack and they respond, you get the point, you know, practice, right? We would debrief afterwards. And we would ask this guy like, well, what do you think happened? He'd be like, we were driving down the road, and we turned the corner, and then all hell broke loose. And he would say it about every scenario. And this is what happened this weekend. I come back and I'm like, I can't believe I was off the air. I should have done a Saturday Sunday show.

Everyone's freaking out about AI. They're now camp set up.

I mean, opposing forces. I'm just going to tell you this part up front. And I think we can all agree on this, especially in this audience. Thank the Lord. And I am not using my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, name in vain at all. I'm not kidding. Thank the Lord and the voters that President Trump is in the White House and not Kamala Harris. While this debate about AI, one camp of do-mers, it's going to kill us all. The other camp like, oh, we don't need any guardrails. I promise there's a middle ground. Thank the Lord, Kamala Harris is not in charge right now. I was talking to, Theresa texted me, Jim, before the show. Theresa from Westwood, we make everybody part of the show. That's just what I do. Theresa works at Westwood One. She texts me before the show. She's like, you know what this reminds me of? Jim, this will kick you in the gonads. This reminds me of Y2K. Remember Y2K? When the year 2000 came up and they were like, the clocks can't handle it, and everybody was going to die. Again, Reverend Cain, we're all going to die.

And none of that happened. We put up some guardrails. We fixed the 2 to the 4 Instead of OO, it became 2000 And almost nothing happened at all.

Because we're humans and we fix stuff. And we've got a guy in the White House right now, and I'll play some cuts of President Trump later on this, who's a reasonable business guy, who's like, are we all going to die? Well, if we don't do anything, we could all die. But we are doing stuff. On the other side, is AI great? AI is absolutely fantastic. Potential to cure cancer, to cure HIV, to cure, get toe fungus, that stupid Digger commercial on TV. I get under here and every time I see it, I want to throw up. This is all like on the horizon, man. The Digger guy, there'll be no need for Digger anymore.
