We just have all these great policies set into place, Larry, and they're just starting to work time in, time out. You know, we're in very, very good shape economically, and I'm not worried about this economy going forward.

I'm Daily Wire executive editor John Bickley with Georgia Howe. It's Wednesday, August 5th. This is Morning Wire.
**Georgia Howe** (1:06)
As Rand Paul sets the date for a contempt vote for Anthony Fauci, several states launch their own investigations. We talked to the Attorney General of one of those states.
**Liz Murrill** (1:14)
I think that it's surprising to everybody that he's now so unwilling to talk. His diary is going to do a lot of talking for him. I'll be looking closely at that.

The stock market continues to break records as the S&P 500 touched a new high and the Dow surged before close on Tuesday. The spike is being driven in part by earnings releases from major tech firms and reassurance from Treasury Secretary Scott Besant.
**John Bickley** (2:40)
Joining us now is Steve Moore, former economic advisor to President Trump. Steve, thanks for coming on.
**Stephen Moore** (2:45)
Thank you.
**John Bickley** (2:46)
So we're coming off a huge day of trading yesterday.
How much of what we're seeing in stocks is due to earning calls with companies like Palantir and SpaceX? And how much of that growth is being driven by investor confidence in the actual US economy itself?
**Stephen Moore** (3:02)
Well, a little bit of both. I mean, as my friend Larry Kudlow would say, earnings are the mother's milk of the stock market. So obviously when earnings are good, the stock market goes up, and the investors liked what they saw with respect to these earnings numbers that were reported in the last couple of days. But there's also just a sense of confidence in the Trump policies. You know, obviously Iran has not gone nearly like we would have hoped, but you look at the other indicators on the US economy, really showing great improvement. We got a manufacturing boom going on in this country. We have a technological boom. AI is here and it's already leading some amazing productivity improvements.
Construction, we're building stuff all over it, whether it's public infrastructure, whether it's data centers, whether it is factories, they're being built here in the United States. And then let's not forget, we had the Trump tax cut. That's something that every single Democrat voted against, but it is money in people's pockets, it's reduced the cost of investing here in the United States and it's been like a magnet. So all of those things explain this economy, which I, you know, look, people are still angry about food prices and gas prices, but so much of the other things that are going on are very positive.
**John Bickley** (4:15)
Now we've been reporting on fears about the AI bubble. And I wanted your perspective on this. Are you wary of, you know, the speed that these stock valuations have been rising?
