You know, this story, we're leading with this Lindsay Clancy copycat, alleged copycat killer. And this thing, everything around this is just sinister.

Yeah, the details are pretty...

They're... It's just really hard to read. I was reading through before this, and it's just... I was just in shock. And her former high school friend is apparently speaking out now.

Now we're getting more context as to, like, the things she had said beforehand. We know that there was text messages. But just to give you context, so if you don't know about this whatsoever, well, Lindsay Clancy, obviously, there was a mistrial, and she was accused of killing three of her children.

But a lot of people have been following this case. It's been global, honestly. It's one of the biggest cases in the country currently. And now there's this alleged copycat killer named Corey Walsh in Illinois. So prosecutors allege that Corey Walsh planned to kill her husband after killing her two-year-old son, Barrett Bear Walsh.

So what had happened was prosecutors say that two other children who lived at the home, they arrived and saw the scene and immediately ran to contact a neighbor. The scene they saw, again, very disturbing. The neighbor then allegedly entered the home and found her two-year-old son, Barrett, hanging from a rafter in the basement. The neighbor cut Barrett down and performed CPR in an attempt to save him. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. They then found Walsh.

They discovered her sitting in a bloody bathtub. It was full of water, so there was bloody water with cuts on her wrists and her thighs. Authorities alleged that Walsh admitted killing Barrett and made disturbing statements about why she did it. Prosecutors say Walsh told authorities she killed her son because he was quote, he was the devil and quote, anti-Christ and so on.

So apparently too, she allegedly planned to poison her husband, and prosecutors are further alleging that she made statements indicating that Barrett was not intended to be her only target or victim. According to prosecutors, Walsh said she planned to poison her husband when he returned home from work later that evening.

And the defense is saying that she was in a severe mental health crisis apparently, too. You want to get into those details?

But the focus of this case, and I mean, there's horrible things that happen all over the country every single day. But the focus here is that she had allegedly been texting her friends about following-

Case. She was actively following that according to alleged text messages that she sent her friends, made a connection, led people online to accuse Walsh of taking inspiration from Clancy's case in order to create a similar defense.

And she's texting her friends, she's following this case, and then you see what she did.

And they claim that she was in a psychosis of her own. And then it's like, okay, if she was in a psychosis of her own, then this probably came to her mind. You know, like that was in her brain. She knew about it.
