Hey, everybody, it is Friday, August 21st. You're listening to the Mo News podcast. I'm Moshe Oinounou.
**Jill Wagner** (0:09)
And I am Jill Wagner. This is the place where we bring you just the facts.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (0:13)
And where we read all the news and read between the lines so you don't have to.
**Jill Wagner** (0:17)
And Moshe, we have a third host today, kind of.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (0:21)
Yes, yes. Jill, in your absence a couple of weeks ago, Olivia made an appearance, a brief appearance. This week it is, well, based on circumstances, this afternoon, as we tape this little Charlotte. Hi, Charlotte. Trying to get her to bed right now after her last feed. So if you hear like little high pitched noises like that, there you go. That's not me or Jill crying.
**Jill Wagner** (0:42)
On cue, that was on cue. Well, Moshe, hopefully this podcast will put her to sleep, but nobody else.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (0:50)
We're going to try our best here, everybody. I'm going to stand and, if you haven't watched on YouTube, it's probably the episode to watch.
**Jill Wagner** (0:58)
Moshe, we posted this funny and maybe not so funny if you're the person who took the video, but we posted some video over on the Instagram account on Thursday of an Amazon drone delivery in Texas, which dropped somebody's package into her pool.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (1:17)
Yeah, you might have seen this viral video. We posted it on our Instagram page as well. One thing I will know, Jill, while most...
You don't want this?
Yeah? Can you chew? You don't want this? What's up? Do you know what that means? It's gas. Yeah.
**Jill Wagner** (1:39)
Let it out, Charlotte, nobody's judging.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (1:44)
Yeah, look, see? You have all the various moves as you try to calm a baby. This is the up and down. Okay. We're doing the elevator.
Yeah, you might have seen this viral video on our Instagram page or another one out there. I will note one thing, Jill. If you're ordering drone delivery, whether it's Amazon or Walmart, you can designate where they drop it off, like where in your backyard you want it, you want it on your front stoop, on your driveway, etc. It's not clear here whether this was user error or Amazon error, we will await details here. I think a lot of people defaulted to like, Amazon's dropping stuff in pools. I'm like, wait a second, you go to the Amazon app, you can tell Amazon where to drop it. So we are awaiting more details on what happened here.
**Jill Wagner** (2:25)
By the way, Amazon's Prime Air drone delivery service, they launched it in 2022 and it's currently available in 11 US cities, mostly in Texas.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (2:36)
Yeah, similar situation to for Walmart and their drone delivery, a lot of warmer weather areas that they're looking to expand over time. And there's a lot of convenience there, especially if there's a lot of traffic during rush hour or you're looking for a single item or a couple of items, drone delivery, at least that's the way they're marketing it, especially if it actually arrives to you dry and not in your swimming pool.
**Jill Wagner** (2:58)
All right, to the headlines now, the debate over data centers. President Trump says data centers could use a little PR help, as more Americans are saying, not in my backyard.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (3:10)
Yeah, it's become a huge issue on the campaign trail, something that Republicans and Democratic voters both agree on. We're also seeing it play out in the corporate world, the business world. We'll tell you about a new ad from Jason Kelce about what he suggests you should send to some of these AI data centers.
**Jill Wagner** (3:26)
So the Lindsay Clancy trial, the defense says that it could rest its case as soon as today.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (3:31)
We'll look at the latest testimony, and despite the fact that her defense team, the prosecutors, Lindsay Clancy herself, all admit that she killed the children, we'll look into why the Internet is so convinced it was the husband.
**Jill Wagner** (3:43)
To the Middle East, a new aircraft carrier arrives in the region to relieve some strain on the USS Abraham Lincoln. FBI agents search the home of former Congressman Eric Swalwell as part of a federal inquiry.
Motion is still summer, but we're getting a look at how this winter could shape up, how El Nino will upend winter weather in the US.
**Mosheh Oinounou** (4:04)
Yeah, why it could be one for the record books.
**Jill Wagner** (4:06)
In business news, how GLP-1s are changing the food on our shelves, and also the way food makers are marketing them.
