This morning, Trump declared the U.S.-Iran ceasefire over.
**Lyn Alden** (0:04)
To me, I think it's over.
**SPEAKER_1** (0:07)
Oil prices surged towards $79 a barrel, US market futures dropped, and this is the kind of geopolitical shockwave that historically sends investors scrambling for the exits. And right around the same time, one of the most respected macroanalysts in the Bitcoin space said something that stopped me in my tracks, that this is the lowest sentiment ever seen on Bitcoin, and this bear market feels worse than 2022, even though the prices are actually higher. And then they said something else, something that sounds scary until you actually think about it. Absolutely nothing is coming to save Bitcoin. It has to survive on its own merits. This person is 100% correct, and I think that it's actually the most bullish thing anyone has said about Bitcoin all year. Welcome back to Satoshi. Let's get into it.

It's a very interesting question.
**Lyn Alden** (1:23)
To me, I think it's over.
**SPEAKER_3** (1:27)
I don't want to deal with them anymore.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:28)
They're scum.
**Lyn Alden** (1:29)
You know what scum is? They're scum.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:31)
They're sick people.
**Lyn Alden** (1:32)
They're led by sick people.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:34)
And they're vicious, violent people.
And if they had a nuclear weapon, they'd use it. As far as I'm concerned, it's over. I'll speak to our negotiators. They want to negotiate. They're good people. Steve Woodcoff, Jared Kushner. But they have to come back to me. As far as I'm concerned, it's just a waste of time dealing with them. They're liars. We make a deal.
**Lyn Alden** (1:56)
And if I make a deal with him, we have a deal.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:58)
And he goes out, he talks.
**Lyn Alden** (2:00)
We make a deal.
**SPEAKER_1** (2:01)
Everyone's agreed.
**Lyn Alden** (2:01)
No nuclear weapon. We make a deal.
**SPEAKER_1** (2:04)
They go outside, tell the press, they say, we never even talked about it. There's something wrong with them.
**Lyn Alden** (2:09)
They're cuckoo.
**SPEAKER_1** (2:11)
As far as I'm concerned, it's over. Brent Crude immediately surged towards $79 a barrel. US stock futures fell. The kind of headline that triggers a risk-off wave across global markets. This is the type of event that a few years ago would have sent Bitcoin down hard alongside everything else. Crypto was a risk asset, and when markets got scared, Bitcoin got sold. But something different happened today. Bitcoin is still holding above $63,000, whereas last week or the week before, it was at $58K. So let me say that again.
Geopolitical tension is spiking, oil is surging, stocks are selling off, and Bitcoin is not following them down, which is not nothing. But when oil spikes, inflation expectations rise. When inflation expectations rise, the case for hard, scarce assets strengthens. Gold has always been the traditional beneficiary of that trade, but gold has a problem. It has borders, it has custodians, it can be confiscated, sanctioned and frozen. But Bitcoin doesn't have a CEO to sanction. It doesn't have a headquarters to terrorize. It doesn't have a border to close. No government, no matter how hostile, can seize what you hold in your own keys. That is what own merits looks like in real time. When the world gets chaotic, and right now it very much is, Bitcoin's core value proposition doesn't weaken, it strengthens quietly, while everyone is watching the oil price.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:47)
I'll tell you one thing that could really change the world. I'm not predicting this is going to happen, okay? It probably won't. But what if the next Fed meeting came along, and we're saying, you know what? We've redefined the inflation numbers, they're backward looking anyway. Things are coming down because the war has been settled. We think there's a lot of AI productivity, and this is a new day at the Fed. We're looking through the numbers, and we believe in, it's really not, we can't backward look, we got to forward look, and we're going to get a lot of productivity, and therefore we're in a position to cut interest rates, we're going to cut rates at this meeting. If that happened, okay, just hypothetically, if that were to happen, you know what would happen to silver and gold in Bitcoin? I mean, they would explode. I mean, not just a little bit, like a lot, because the entire boat is leaning in the, worse is the valkyrie, worse is the hawk, higher rates are coming, you don't need any kind of sound money.
