Well, polls tell you what voters said at one moment, but CalSHE gives you another way to follow a race, a live market that moves as traders respond to new information. In Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed and Mike Rogers are competing in one of CalSHE's most traded midterm matchups. You can visit CalSHE's midterms hub to track how the market views the race and then trade an event contract on the outcome you think is gonna happen. If you're right at settlement, each winning contract is worth $1.

See the market, make your call, trade what happens next on CalSHE, use code DAILY, D-A-I-L-Y, to get up to $25 when you trade $25.

That's CalSHE, K-A-L-S-H-I, CalSHE, trade on anything. 18 plus only, restrictions and eligibility requirements apply. Event contracts, trading involves risk and may not be suitable for all investors. CalSHE products are not available in all jurisdictions. Prices, values and available markets may differ from those mentioned. For more information, you can go see calshee.com/regulatory.

You know what's wild? Most people are still overpaying for car insurance, just because it's a pain to switch. That's why there's Jerry. Jerry is the only app that compares rates for over 50 insurers in minutes, and it helps you switch fast with no spam calls or hidden fees. Drivers who save with Jerry could save over $1,300 a year.

Before you renew your car insurance policy, do yourself a favor. Download the Jerry app or head to jerry.ai/wire.

Well, hello everybody and welcome to Wired In. I'm Cabot Phillips coming to you live from Daily Wire HQ. I hope you're having a wonderful Thursday. On today's show, we're going to break down the tightest midterm races and hear from Mark Halperin on what GOP campaign strategists are telling him behind closed doors. We'll also tell you about the newly unearthed text messages in the Cornell 7 case and talk with Heather MacDonald who says the entire story is the latest example of the campus rape myth. President Trump is touting a historic decline in the number of legal immigrants from Muslim-majority countries. We'll cover the impact of that policy and how the left is responding. The US military will no longer welcome fatties, trannies, beards or weirdos.

That's according to new comments from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Yes, that is a direct quote. We'll get to the latest on the Pentagon's new war fighter strategy. Of course, stick around until the end of the show for our live listener Q&A. If you're a Daily Wire member, get those questions in the chat right now. I would love to hear from you. If you're on Apple or Spotify, you got to head over to dailywire.com/subscribe to join in.

As we always say, watching Wired In without the live chat is like going to a steakhouse and ordering a salad. It's not technically illegal, but it should be. Roll that graphic.

All right. The countdown to midterms now stands at just 33 days. So let's bring on Mark Halperin, host of the morning meeting and next up to give us the lay of the land. Mark, last time you were on, I dubbed you the Sultan of the Swamp. You informed me that you're actually in New York City. So I've done some research. Let me know if any of these names work.

Barron of the Broadway, The Prophet of Park Avenue, The Oracle of the Outer Loop. Any of those work?

Mark Halperin (3:31)

I'd go with Hamlet on the Hudson if it were up to me, but you pick.

Cabot Phillips (3:35)

Okay. It's Hamlet on the Hudson. That's very classy, very classy. That is what it should be from here on out. Mark, I saw your name quite a bit last week. I imagine your Twitter mentions were just unusable. You caused quite the stir.

You penned a Daily Wire piece on the midterms saying, quote, my Trump sources say the president's worst nightmare has arrived. You followed that up with a challenge to GOP consultants saying, if you think my sources are wrong, please reach out. Has anyone reached out to contradict your reporting?

Mark Halperin (4:06)

Yes. Just to correct you, Daily Mail, not Daily Wire. I haven't been asked to write for the Daily Wire, but I would if I had asked.

The only people, people have reached out. I've heard for now over 60 Republican strategists, office holders and candidates, and their replies are in two categories. One, the group that says, yeah, you have it just about right, and the other says things are worse than you're actually suggesting for Republicans. It doesn't mean that's the way it's going to turn out. I'll always issue this reminder. I'm not rooting for any outcome. I'm not predicting the outcome. I'm just saying, Republicans I talk to now say the current state of things is quite bad. They've gone from believing that anyone in a district or state, plus Trump plus 10 from two years ago was safe. They now think plus 15 isn't necessarily safe. They've gone from saying they'd win close races to saying, if anybody's within the margin of error, they'll likely lose. Now, Republicans are spending a lot of money. The Democratic candidates in many instances are extremely vulnerable to negative ads that are running. So let's wait and see. But today, every Republican I've talked to, with one exception, suggests things look pretty bad right now because of the overall environment.
