**Pete Burns** (0:03)
You're listening to the Sans Pants Network.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:07)
Like it possibly, you're wrong.

**Joel Duscher** (0:08)
This month on Thumb Cramps, it's Remugust. Remakes and remasters all month long.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:24)
You're listening to Thumb Cramps. A show for those whose thumbs are cramping.

**Joel Duscher** (0:34)
Welcome to this week's episode of Thumb Cramps, a video game review podcast for everyone whose thumbs are cramping. Listeners, I'm Joel.

**Jackson B. Baly** (0:41)
Listeners, I'm Jackson.

**Joel Duscher** (0:42)
And listeners, we're joined by a very special guest this week. It's Pete Burns.

**Pete Burns** (0:48)
Hello. Does everyone get very special?

**SPEAKER_2** (0:51)
No, only you.

**Pete Burns** (0:52)
I think, hell yeah.

**Jackson B. Baly** (0:53)
Every other guest is special. You're very special.

**Pete Burns** (0:55)
Yeah, we have a grading system. It's very nice to be here.

**Jackson B. Baly** (0:58)
Oh, that's what I like to hear.

**Joel Duscher** (1:00)
A grading system for eagled, eared listeners, which is everyone listening to Thumb Cramps, because they don't want to...

**Jackson B. Baly** (1:06)
They've all got the ears of an eagle. Yeah.

**Pete Burns** (1:10)
That's just a hole in the side of the head, right? Yeah. There's not even any ear.

**Joel Duscher** (1:14)
What do we think about this as like the first joke of today's podcast?

**SPEAKER_2** (1:17)
I love it.

**Joel Duscher** (1:18)
Eerie the Eagle.

**Pete Burns** (1:21)
Great. What?

**SPEAKER_2** (1:22)
It's referencing Eddie the Eagle.

**Jackson B. Baly** (1:23)
Oh, okay.

**Pete Burns** (1:26)
I'm thinking, in classic nerd fashion, there was an eagle called Eerie in Banjo Kazooie.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:33)
Whoa.

**Pete Burns** (1:35)
So I was like, oh, mate, deep cut, deep cut.

**Joel Duscher** (1:37)
That's actually two references in one, making the joke even better.

**Jackson B. Baly** (1:41)
Double funny.

**Joel Duscher** (1:43)
Wow. But yeah, there's a grading system for guests, where we go very special, special, and barely special.

**Pete Burns** (1:48)
But I say barely really quick, so they don't hear it.

**Jackson B. Baly** (1:50)
Well, I'm wondering if it's an internal chart, me and Duscher have, for every guest.

**Joel Duscher** (1:54)
We go, all right, this week, we've got a barely special guest.

**Jackson B. Baly** (1:58)
Yeah. And we gotta balance him out. You can't have a ride of barely special or a ride of very special. You gotta balance them out. But we're revealing that Pete is very special.

**Pete Burns** (2:06)
Yeah.

**Joel Duscher** (2:06)
So congratulations, Pete, on being a very special guest. And congratulations, listeners, on hearing this episode of Thumb Cramp.

**Pete Burns** (2:12)
This one's for you.

**Joel Duscher** (2:13)
This one's for all the listeners out there. And this week, we're looking at Yakuza Director's Cut and other games.

**Jackson B. Baly** (2:33)
Nice, dude.

**Joel Duscher** (2:33)
So obviously, it's...

**Jackson B. Baly** (2:36)
It's Remugust.

**Joel Duscher** (2:37)
It's Remugust, where we're looking at remakes and remasters.

**Jackson B. Baly** (2:40)
Absolutely.

**Joel Duscher** (2:41)
And I decided, hey, what better time than right now, except for the time where I previously reviewed the first Yakuza that wasn't remade to get into Yakuza

**Jackson B. Baly** (2:51)
Remind me, because I've always, previously to you playing a Yakuza game, I was like, those are the games for Joel Duscher.

**Joel Duscher** (2:57)
Yes.

**Jackson B. Baly** (2:57)
Them and I somehow erroneously believed Devil May Cry was a franchise for you, too. Yeah. Which I don't know if I was right about, but...

**Joel Duscher** (3:06)
Well, I wish Devil May Cry was for me because I love Bayonetta. I was hoping that it would just be the gameplay that I could hide behind. But now that I know that Devil May Cry, which has the same gameplay, is not for me. I'm really starting to question my ethics in video game journalism.

**Jackson B. Baly** (3:21)
Dude. Well, it's good that you're interrogating the self.

**Joel Duscher** (3:23)
Yeah. I'm thinking of it. Looking at Bayonetta being like, why is this good?

**Jackson B. Baly** (3:27)
Yeah. But why is Devil May Cry not doing it? But you played the first Devil May Cry, didn't you?

**Joel Duscher** (3:31)
I played Devil May Cry 3

**Jackson B. Baly** (3:32)
Yeah. Okay.

**Pete Burns** (3:33)
Maybe you can play more modern one. We need a Devil May Cry remake, don't we? It should just be called Bayonetta though.

**Joel Duscher** (3:37)
Bayonetta.

**Jackson B. Baly** (3:38)
That's good.

**Pete Burns** (3:39)
It's sitting right there.

**Joel Duscher** (3:40)
That's the first good joke of the podcast.

**Pete Burns** (3:44)
It's all downhill from here, it's fine.

**Jackson B. Baly** (3:45)
Damn it. We peaked so early with Bayonetta.
