How was the 4th of July, Matt? You fireworks guy.
**Matt Bair** (0:50)
It wasn't this 4th of July. I did go outside and watch him on my little perch on Mass Ave, and I went out and joined my neighbor. So it was cool. I got to see the downtown fireworks just from my own neighbor. I still went to bed early. I got to keep the schedule going, you know, to split and everything else. I still had to like get up the next day, make sure I was going, keeping everything consistent. It was good.
**Jason Hammer** (1:09)
You got a split shift where you said split. That means you get up like you're here from like five to nine, and then you go home and you, I don't know, if you take a nap, you work out, you'd be healthy, you do stuff.
**Matt Bair** (1:19)
I do all sorts of things.
**Jason Hammer** (1:20)
And you're here from three to seven.
**Matt Bair** (1:22)
Yeah, I do a little nap and I do some training, but it's still a blessing. It's a great gig, man. Not a complaint at all. I just wanted to stay consistent.
**Nigel** (1:29)
You know, when I was filling in on the sports station last week for a couple of days, Matt Bair and I were leaving at around the same time. And it felt like a couple of hookers doing the walk of shame.
We were walking out during the daytime, kind of tired. I'll see you again this afternoon.
**Matt Bair** (1:47)
Who had to be the trick? That's why I want to know which one was the trick.
**Nigel** (1:52)
Before we get into some other stuff here, let's get into our usual list of weekend closures and delays.
**Matt Bair** (1:59)
Yeah, we got washed out a couple of weeks ago on 70 And when that happens, we have to make them up. It's like a double header of traffic now. He really has as much traffic construction coming up this weekend. So make up work is going to be this weekend. Eastbound 70 is down to one lane, Belmont South split. So if you're coming in to downtown for anything, it's going to take you a few extra minutes. Please leave early. One lane, one lane from that stretch goes into the construction like the seventh circle of hell that you never escape from. So, you know, take a little more time to get there. That's the good news. Also, we have ramps shutting down eastbound 70 West Street to eastbound Meridian Harding. All those ramps on the south end that take you into the south split, which then takes you down to Greenwood. All those ramps are going to be closed downtown. So that's going to be problematic. Yeah, you know, whatever. I mean, yeah, it's if you're leaving downtown, the better way to do it is going to be able to find 65 Another way you can go to West Street on the north end of downtown. I'm pointing at it. So the YouTube chat, I guess, can see it. That's that's going to be your option there for the most part, because everything on the south end shut down. So, yeah, that's going to be the big ones is going on around Mass. Have cultural district where I live. They're already pulling closures for this. It's going to be this huge bike race called Momentum Indy.
**Nigel** (3:20)
And Momentum Indy is something that the Colts stopped having around week nine last year.
**Matt Bair** (3:24)
I believe it was usually around week nine. They start they start their mid season swoon. And yeah, it's so it's a really cool race, man. I got to say, even, you know, traffic's a pain in the ass to get around. But it's I mean, these guys are racing for speed. It's like a little five hundred.
