You're listening to the Six Figure Home Studio Podcast. The number one resource for running a profitable home recording studio.

Christopher J. Graham (0:34)

Now your hosts, Ryan Hood and Chris Grant.

Brian Hood (0:36)

Welcome back to another episode of the 6 Figure Home Studio Podcast. I am your hype bro, Brian Hood, and I'm here with my bald, beautiful, purple-shirted co-host, Christopher J.

SPEAKER_2 (0:38)

I think.

Brian Hood (0:38)

Is it Christopher J. Graham or is it H. Yeah, Christopher J. That's right. What's you doing, dude? How are you doing right now, man?

Christopher J. Graham (0:39)

I'm great.

Brian Hood (0:39)

I am on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, up in the pinky finger of Michigan, if you will. Taking some time out of my vacay to hang with you, bro.

Christopher J. Graham (0:45)

As you were moving around the place with your laptop open, I saw the view out of your window and it's like this amazing lake.

Brian Hood (0:51)

It's dope.

Christopher J. Graham (0:52)

What's the weather like up there right now?

Brian Hood (0:53)

It's pretty. So the nice thing about this area, it's right around Traverse City, for those of you guys that know this area, but a ton of people from the Midwest vacation up here because it's cooler in July and August than it would be anywhere else in the country, pretty much.

And Lake Michigan looks like the Caribbean.

It's gorgeous. It's like, you know, sorority and blue and teal. And it's awesome. So it's like you're at the ocean, but there's no salt and it's not a million miles away and it's not so hot. So it's like 75 It's awesome.

Christopher J. Graham (1:24)

Well, I'm mad at you because everyone else in our mastermind group is here in Nashville for NAMM, for Summer NAMM.

Brian Hood (1:30)

I didn't come.

Christopher J. Graham (1:31)

And so you're up there swimming in dirty Michigan water instead of hanging with us.

Brian Hood (1:37)

Crystal clear Michigan water. You can see the bottom at like 40 feet. It's crazy.

Christopher J. Graham (1:41)

I've heard all about Flint, Michigan. I know about your water problems. Don't try to pretend like your water is good.

Brian Hood (1:47)

Funny story though. So we rented a boat yesterday and we're driving around Lake Michigan and we got my kids, my brother, my mom, my stepdad, and we're driving and having a good time. And all of a sudden I'm like, I talked to my daughter, Anora, and I'm like, Anora, look at that giant bird that's flying towards us. And all of a sudden it gets a little closer. I'm like, it's a bald eagle. Oh my gosh, it's a bald eagle. And then the bald eagle proceeded to start a fight with three giant seagulls over the water right by our boat. And there's like a dog fight.

Christopher J. Graham (2:14)

And I assume since that's our nation's animal, they kick their asses, right?

Brian Hood (2:17)

Actually, the seagulls won.

Christopher J. Graham (2:22)

That makes me so happy for some reason.

Brian Hood (2:24)

I don't know why. It was amazing. So he started a fight, and the seagulls were like, oh, hell no. And they started chasing them, and they were faster than he was.

He tucked tail and run, man.

Tucked tail and ran. What? I don't know what I'm talking about.

Christopher J. Graham (2:36)

Tucked tail and ran. Okay, well, whatever, man. Well, that sounds like you're having a good time up there.

Brian Hood (2:40)

Oh, we're having a blast.

Christopher J. Graham (2:42)

Well, that's...

Either way, we miss you down here in Nashville, man. Got to hang out with Lidge from Recording Studio Rockstars yesterday at an event that I'm not supposed to talk about and not allowed to talk about, and we're not going to talk about, but just know that you guys miss some cool stuff. Everyone listening that doesn't know what I'm talking about, then I'm not going to give any details on, and I like being the secretive, but it was really cool. I really enjoyed it.

Brian Hood (3:03)

It was really tough for me to decide on not skipping family vacation, because this was the only time our family could do it, but I think it was good and healthy that I opted for this over NAMM, but I do miss you guys, and especially because this is where me and you first got really, really tight was NAMM two years ago, Summer NAMM two years ago.

Christopher J. Graham (3:19)

It's true, the first time we met, and I realized, oh my God, you're really tall.
