Why Woodstock was a Harmful Psyop | Jerm Warfare Weekly Banter
UK Column News
October 5, 2026
Jerm, Mike and Charles take on climate narratives, protest culture, and who really pulls the strings. They question whether modern protests achieve anything, from apartheid-era activism to the situation in Gaza, and dig into government infiltration of social movements.

Jerm (0:30)
My name is Jerm, this is Jerm Warfare, the Battle of Ideas. All right, global warming, gentleman has arrived in South Africa.
It's very, very hot today.
Mike (0:40)
What do you mean, it's spread time?
Jerm (0:43)
Where, what, where you are?
Mike (0:45)
No, where we are.
Jerm (0:47)
Well, it's global warming. I mean, this is the only thing that exists, is global warming. When it gets hot, it's because I drive a petrol car, and I use an incandescent light bulb. Didn't you know that?
Mike (1:00)
Yeah, don't worry. When I come over to visit, I'm going to be bringing back a whole boatload of incandescent light bulbs.
But it's springtime, right? With you?
Jerm (1:12)
Yes. Technically, I think the 16th of September is, what do they call it? The spring equinox, is that right?
Mike (1:20)
The equinox? 23rd it was.
Jerm (1:21)
Yeah, 23rd, somewhere there. And then summer officially starts somewhere in the middle of December here in South Africa. I'll tell you what, I've always wanted to have a white Christmas. I've never experienced it once in my life, because we are in the middle of summer when we have Christmas. So all the movies and songs and everything about snow, I've never experienced.
Charles (1:46)
Is it worth it?
Mike (1:48)
Well, we don't get snow anymore either because of global warming. I mean, surely, you know, it's true.
Charles (1:53)
Yeah.
Jerm (1:55)
I do want to experience it just once. Like, I don't know, like apparently in the northern, in sort of the northern European countries, it's pretty beautiful at that time.
Mike (2:04)
There have been some pretty wonderful winters, Christmases, as I've been driving up to Northern Ireland. And but they're relatively few and far compared to the 80s in particular, which were usually quite white, which is good.
But no, these days doesn't happen so much.
Jerm (2:27)
What's his name? Is it Bing Crosby, dreaming of a white Christmas? I heard that growing up.
Mike (2:32)
It's a bit early for this, Jerm. It's only September.
Charles (2:34)
No, no, no, no, it is early.
Mike (2:36)
It's October now, but it's a bit early to be talking about Christmas.
Jerm (2:40)
All right. I'll hold that thought for a couple of months.
Mike (2:44)
I know the shelves are packed, but you know, come on.
Jerm (2:47)
Actually, that doesn't happen yet. Yeah. I think that'll only start around November, which I really hate, by the way. It's just consumerist nonsense.
But we'll chat about that in a couple of months. I'm just making the point that it's really hot here now, and global warming is really here for the next six months at least. And then there'll be global cooling after that for predictably six months or so.
Mike (3:08)
Good. Glad you're having the normal weather cycles, seasons, I mean.
Jerm (3:14)
Apparently not, though.
We are expected to have an El Nido. Farmer Angus was actually chatting to me the other day about his concerns about the lack of rain that is predicted for this summer season. And he says that already he's had bad rainfall throughout this year.
I mean, he's just one farm out of many. And I remember interviewing a woman by the name of Valentina Zalkova, who by the way, I'm trying to get back onto my UK Column show. She's probably the leading solar physicist in the world. And she's actually, she's Ukrainian, I think, but she's based in your side of the world. And she argues that the narrative is completely inverted, which, surprise, surprise, you know, will take you by surprise. But she says that we're actually in a grand solar minimum, and what's going to be happening in the next 15 to 20, 25 years is an increase in heat. I beg your pardon, is a decrease in heat. Not an increase, which is something that she's actually trying to lobby the UN now to include in its next IPCC report. Very, very interesting.
Mike (4:26)
I've heard this from a number of different sources. And I mean, it is without doubt a fascinating area of research, but something that, as she says, the IPCC ignores. And I think what certain people are very good at is taking, as we've talked about this before, taking things which are caused by one thing or a group of things and claiming that it's caused by something else, and using that as a political tool for creating the legislation or the restrictions that they would prefer to see.
Jerm (5:11)
I mean, I have nothing against sustainable solutions, right? I think there has to be a bit of reasonable discourse here. I was visiting a friend yesterday, and he's got a, dare I say, a Chinese car. And it's a plug-in hybrid, right? So it's plugged in in his garage. So he uses almost no petrol for the most part.
