Welcome to the Total Soccer Show and our Summer Transfer Deadline Spectacular!
The window has slammed shut once again, and over 1,400 deals have been completed, and over $6.2 billion spent. Yes, billion. Much of that by Chelsea and Man City, by the way. We're here to look at a dramatic final day which saw Enzo change the shade of blue on his shirt, Folarin Balogun have some medical drama, Tottenham throwing even more money at the problem, and so, so much more. My name's Ryan Bailey. Join me today to discuss all the deals that went down. Taylor Rockwell is here. Hi, Taylor. How are you?

**Taylor Rockwell** (0:55)
I'm doing well, man. Man City and Chelsea, yeah, making up a decent chunk of that total money spent. If you add Tottenham in there, I think that's like 1,300 of the 1,400 deals also done during this window. So, not a bad window for those three clubs, sort of.

**Ryan Bailey** (1:10)
Wow. Let's get to that.
We can do some grading accordingly. Graham Ruslan, is this your Christmas deadline day? You're into this, right?

**Graham Ruslan** (1:20)
I do enjoy deadline day, but not as much. I'm sensing you're not into it, right, Bailey? It does increasingly feel like, I mean, this was quite a busy deadline day by recent standards, but still it feels like some sort of relic of a bygone age, where previously, in the UK at least, it would be Jim White Day and he would walk into Sky Sports News studio at like four hours from the end of the deadline with his yellow tie and everyone would be tuned to Sky Sports News. Sky Sports News last night had like guitarists doing songs about transfers. Ryan, did you not get the call for that gig?

**Ryan Bailey** (1:50)
Wow. What was that?

**Graham Ruslan** (1:52)
I know. They missed an opportunity there with you. But yeah, it feels like everyone just monitoring David Ornstein's social media now. That's kind of what it's become.

**Ryan Bailey** (2:03)
Yeah.
That is indeed. I actually put on Sky Sports News yesterday. I had it on for much of the day. In the evening, it was just lower league highlights. It didn't feel like they were really going heavy on the big stories. I thought, but hey, that's another conversation for another time. I'm just getting older. We all are. Time marches on, Graham. Joe Lowry though, he's here. Hello, Joe. How are you?

**Joe Lowry** (2:21)
Hey, I'm great. You know, the transfer window always slams shut, but sometimes it really is just closed gently, like very carefully, as if someone had a vested interest in the quality and the sustainability of the window.
This time, it really was slammed shut. I enjoyed this transfer window as a whole, and yesterday's deadline day more than I can recall. Maybe part of that is having a USMNT national team hook, which doesn't usually happen. Usually, there's not a US player that's at one of the centers of one of the biggest stories of the end of the window. We don't usually get that, but I think even apart from the Folarin Balogun of it all, it still would have been a really dramatic ending. I enjoyed this a lot.

**Ryan Bailey** (2:57)
I thought you meant Jack McGlynn going to Stoke, sorry.

**Graham Ruslan** (2:59)
Yes.

**Joe Lowry** (3:00)
Jack McGlynn going to Stoke. Yeah, the left-footed wizard is a potter.

**Ryan Bailey** (3:03)
You meant Luka Bambino, right?

**Graham Ruslan** (3:05)
That's who you really meant.

**Joe Lowry** (3:08)
Did you call them the potters, right? At Stoke City?

**Graham Ruslan** (3:10)
Yeah, sorry. I stepped all over your joke joke, which was very good.

**Joe Lowry** (3:13)
It was slow to matriculate.

**Graham Ruslan** (3:15)
We'll get the edit machine up and running, and we'll just cut me out there, and everyone will laugh, ha ha.

**Ryan Bailey** (3:21)
I would pay a lot of money to see Jack Mowgli's reaction when he lands in Stoke, by the way.

**Joe Lowry** (3:27)
Yeah, I mean, this is the guy who's lived in Philly in Houston. No disrespect, but a little disrespect.

**Ryan Bailey** (3:33)
It's a relative joke.

**Joe Lowry** (3:34)
I mean, I live in Phoenix, so I'm not like I'm not able to throw stones. I'm just simply making an observation.

**Graham Ruslan** (3:39)
Alton Towers? Does he like roller coasters? That's near Stoke.

**Ryan Bailey** (3:43)
It's near Stoke.

**Taylor Rockwell** (3:44)
I want to live in Texas, but I also want to be really humid and surrounded by oil executives. Where should I live? Houston it is. Solves.
How's that working out for you guys? Geography and climate together? That's what we want to start the show. Ryan, what was the total number you said spent?
