Yeah, it's another What's the Snark? Today on Chiara Ferragni. Bear with me as I try to pronounce Italian words today. I'm going to try my best. Actually, Olivia's boyfriend is pretty fluent in Italian. Shout out Dan. They made a voice note of some of the pronunciations for me, which was very, very, very helpful.
So, Chiara Ferragni. Christy, just up top, what are your thoughts? You had never heard of Chiara Ferragni until recently, right?

Yeah, I actually had never heard of her until we've gotten many a DM on our Instagram, on our Patreon, and people begging for a Chiara Ferragni episode. And I was like, who is this girl? So, Sophie and I have a-
Yeah, who art thou? Sophie and I have a shared calendar where we mark down everyone that we want to do. So I was like, I'm just going to put her name on there because I know people desire this episode, but genuinely, I'm very excited for you to walk me through it because I feel like you are pretty well-versed in her lore. Yes. And I just feel like she's- Everything I know about her is that she's maybe a con artist, a la Anadolphe a bit, but that's basically it.

Yeah. So I have actually been a long-time follower of Chiara's. She is truly an OG.
When we talk about the OG bloggers like Leander Medeen or Rumi Neely or Ariel Ternes, those are the ones that come to mind that all had names like Man Repeller, Leandra, Fashion Toast, Rumi, Something Navy, Ariel Ternes. There was also Chiara, who was the blonde salad. This was back in 2009, I think is when she started her blog, which we will get into. So she is truly an OG, and we will talk about how she is basically Italian royalty, the Italian Kim Kardashian, probably even bigger than Kim Kardashian in Italy. She is huge there. And yeah, I have followed her for so long just on Instagram, and I've always loved her style, and we will talk about her wedding, her ill-fated gorgeous wedding, that actually got more impressions in 2018 than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, which is crazy.

By the way, sorry to pivot, but did you know that Harry and Meghan are moving back to the UK?

Yes, they are moving back to the UK.
So, yeah, this basically, I just say that as an example of Chiara Ferragni literally being royalty in Italy. Wow. She is royalty. And yeah, she has had quite the fall from grace. And it's interesting because I feel like I wasn't too well-versed in the actually multiple scandals that have brought her down at this point. And as kind of just like a passive viewer of all of this unfolding over the past few years, I was like, you know what, it probably wasn't Chiara's fault. She was just the face of this. And it sounds like this company was doing the scamming. And while doing research for this episode, it became clear that she actually was very much aware of what was happening. And it's really not a good look for her, obviously.
