Hammer was making fun of me earlier because he said I'm not going to be able to stay up and watch the World Cup match between Turkey and the USA, which starts at 10
I did stay up and watch sports last night. I watched The Fever last night. I stayed up and watched that game. Of course, it started at 730

**SPEAKER_2** (0:25)
Right.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:25)
It started a little earlier. Substantially, it went to like it went to 10
It went past, I think, 10 o'clock a little bit.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:32)
And I stayed up for the whole thing, which is good because even Caitlin Clark didn't stay for the whole thing. Right.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:39)
Right.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:40)
So last night, again, this is par for the course with what we've seen from Caitlin Clark on the Indiana Fever. She gets knocked to the ground. This awful woman from the Phoenix Mercury is like throat punching her.
And then they're like stepping over her. And then somebody tries to land on her foot, you know, intentionally later in the game.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:03)
I'm assuming there were calls made.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:06)
Oh, no, you and your drugs.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:08)
I was up getting another beer. I must have missed that part where the call was against to Alyssa Thomas.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:16)
Cheap shots and not called.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:20)
Unbelievable.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:21)
The league has now said that the woman that gave Caitlin the throat punch is suspended for a game. That just came down, but there was no technical foul during the game itself.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:33)
How does that help anybody involved here?

**SPEAKER_2** (1:37)
And this is just something that's been happening since she's been in the league. It's year three now. Like, I kind of understand the welcome to pro sports moment where if you're a rookie, you get roughed up a little bit.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:50)
Stay down, Rook.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:51)
Right. That's kind of how sports are. But she's in year three now. Caitlin Clark is the reason why these horrible women are not flying in the back of a Southwest flight when they go to games.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:02)
True.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:02)
They were flying commercial until Caitlin Clark came into the league, and now they fly private.
And now these games are in NBA size arenas when Caitlin Clark comes to town. And how do they repay her? These jealous, catty witches physically beat the hell out of her.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:23)
I mean, the picture of the chick's hand or fist in Caitlin Clark's throat.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:29)
Right.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:30)
I mean, it's pretty stunning.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:32)
And that was not called a technical foul. So last night after the game, Stephanie White, the head coach of The Fever, who a lot of people feel like isn't even the biggest Caitlin Clark fan herself, kind of reached a breaking point.

**Stephanie White** (2:48)
I just, number one, you got to call it. It's absolutely egregious and utterly disrespectful. And then number two, you're coming in here, aware of what happened two nights ago. And that still happens.
Absolutely unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable. And the reckless closeout that they were actually reviewed and the foot still comes down on top of the defender's foot that wasn't upgraded, absolutely disrespectful. We have a generational talent and a WNBA superstar who had two cheap shots right there that weren't called.
And I just say again, absolutely unacceptable.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:39)
Wow. Finally. Finally, what we've been wanting to hear from Stephanie White. Finally.
So Caitlin Clark was knocked out of the game. She had a back injury. She did not finish the game. The fever did lose a close matchup to Phoenix last night.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:57)
Now, the last game that Stephanie White was talking about was a real chippy. And I liked it. It was fun to watch.

**SPEAKER_2** (4:04)
That's where Sophie Cunningham got in the mix. And we got that iconic point point. Yes.
Boomer Asaissin is a former NFL quarterback, played for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jets. He's got a very popular national sports talk radio show based out of New York. And even he was talking about Caitlin Clark today.

**Boomer Esiason** (4:25)
What about Caitlin Clark? I would seriously consider going to play overseas somewhere and get the royal treatment. I know that Caitlin makes a ton of money off the court in terms of endorsements and rightfully so, but I think that there's a petty, petty jealousy.
And she's a straight white basketball player. And she is not being treated with any sort of respect whatsoever.

**SPEAKER_2** (4:50)
And there's a lot to that.

**Boomer Esiason** (4:51)
Wow.

**SPEAKER_2** (4:52)
Like say what you want. But eventually the golfers in the PGA who might have had a problem with this really cocky, really good black kid named Tiger Woods coming up and getting all the attention, even those guys came around and said, You know what? We're all making a whole lot more money now. Maybe this this phenom, this Tiger Woods kid is actually good for us. Golf came around, but the WNBA women have not.
