Hey, before your Q3 call, I've got the campaign brief ready, built from last quarter's data and the competitive landscape.

**SPEAKER_4** (0:37)
Great.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:37)
Did you include the differentiation angle the CMO asked for?

**SPEAKER_5** (0:41)
Already in there. Three angles no competitors using right now. Just need your approval.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:46)
Approved. Thanks.
Agents, where would we be without you?

**SPEAKER_5** (0:51)

**Marques Brownlee** (1:00)
When you hear that this new phone in 2026 has a custom RGB notification light, I wouldn't blame you if your first thought was, oh great, when I get a spam call, it'll go red. When I get an email, it'll go green. When I get a Zelle, it'll go blue. When I get a Venmo, it'll go purple. And they have, you have all these ideas about things you'll do with different apps. None of those things are possible as of right now.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:24)
We don't have the technology.

**Andrew Manganelli** (1:25)
Yeah, 2017, no date. It was like yellow Snapchat, blue Twitter, green messages.

**David Imel** (1:32)
The minimal phone does this.

**SPEAKER_9** (1:34)
Oh wait, really does it?

**SPEAKER_10** (1:40)
What is up, people of the internet?

**Marques Brownlee** (1:41)
Welcome back to another episode of the Waveform Podcast. We're your hosts. I'm Marques.

**Andrew Manganelli** (1:46)
I'm Andrew.

**Marques Brownlee** (1:47)
I'm David. And this is a jump scare if you're not on the audio only version, because we are definitely in a different place. We are in a very different place. We skipped the Pixel event, and we're in Spain.

**Andrew Manganelli** (2:01)
For good reason.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:01)
For good delivery.

**Marques Brownlee** (2:03)
Maybe not the reason you expect. You'll find out very, oh, we'll probably talk about it, but you'll find out very soon.

**Andrew Manganelli** (2:06)
We should just say, you posted it on your story.

**Marques Brownlee** (2:08)
Yeah, yeah. We're in Spain because we wanted to go watch the total solar eclipse that came through here as of the day of recording yesterday.
Not only did we watch it, we recorded a podcast episode right in front of it, and it turned out pretty incredible. I'm very excited for you guys to see it. It is why you will see that very soon in not the same location, but the same country anyway.

**Andrew Manganelli** (2:32)
You should subscribe.

**Marques Brownlee** (2:33)
So yeah, if you haven't gotten subscribed, this is a great time to get subscribed because that will be showing up in your sub box very soon. But we still got to talk about the Google stuff. We still do have thoughts on the tech event of the week.
But first, did they even test this?

**Andrew Manganelli** (2:50)
I have one.

**Ellis Rovin** (2:51)
Speaking of Google stuff.

**Andrew Manganelli** (2:52)
Speaking of Google stuff, this is extremely relevant.

**SPEAKER_11** (2:55)
I'm ready.

**Andrew Manganelli** (2:56)
Okay. So I've had this written down for a while, but this actually timing-wise works perfectly. So why did they even test this is that my Android Auto has switched to Gemini, which at first I was like fine, whatever. It's just a different voice.
But lately, it has been famously just a different voice, nothing else is different about it. Different voice, different name.
It's been messing up left and right for me. And I think it's partially because of that I'm speaking to it like the assistant. I'm not like Gemini. So when I first got it, I was like, I don't like this, I don't like change, but I gave it a shot and it did some pretty impressive things. I mostly use Android Auto for when I have an idea of something that I need to do in the car and I can add it to my Task App. You guys all, I'm still a Task App user. Google Task hard and probably the most I add to it is in my car because I'm like, I have to do this thing today. I have to do this thing when I get home. And the other day I realized I need to start my Snowblower once a month just to make sure it continues to run for winter. And I said to Gemini, hey, can you set a reoccurring task for the last Saturday of every month to tell me to start my Snowblower? Done. I was like, whoa, Gemini rules. In your car? In my car. Lately.
