We also have our friend of the pod, Claire Thomson-Jonville here. Welcome, Claire. You'll be seeing her in a dramatic chignon later this season. Bonjour. This is our biannual Paris Fashion Week recap, which we love to do at the end of each season. I really, I was thinking about this on my way over here. We've seen so many things in the last eight days. I don't even know how to get through them all. But we are reporting live from the Vogue Paris office. It's actually, the conference room is called Reunion New York, which is something I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
It's Tuesday morning, and we have pretty much seen every single show except for Louis Vuitton, which is this evening. And I want to hear the star takeaways.
If someone says to you in an elevator, you have 30 seconds to tell me about what you loved this week. What are you saying, Nicole?
Nicole Phelps (2:33)
I loved Celine. I would wear every single girl look that came down that runway.
Chloe Malle (2:40)
You'd wear that bink some beaded dress? Yeah, I would.
Nicole Phelps (2:45)
Maybe with a pair of black pants underneath.
Chloe Malle (2:48)
Yeah, I loved Celine too. I also loved the cappuccino popsicles after Celine. That was exceptional.
Nicole Phelps (2:54)
Yeah, it feels like Michael Ryder has his eye on every element. People went to the re-see the next day and were talking about, the different flowers in each room, and sort of specific, charming little things. I loved the pins with a quote from Paris' Burning on our seats, the fun sunglasses. There's a like, he thinks of everything vibe there.
Chloe Malle (3:20)
It's a real world building experience that's been very successful.
Claire Thomson-Jonville (3:24)
I was calling it like candy.
There's so many bits. I have to say that we have a WhatsApp group with my team, during the shows and we're like sending each other like micro trends. And I was like, is there a bag with every single look? And I think at Celine, practically all of the looks had some kind of different bag.
Chloe Malle (3:46)
But it doesn't feel like a product.
Claire Thomson-Jonville (3:49)
No, no, no, no.
It was interesting, but yeah, I'm a big fan. I have to say, I mean, it's not, you know, I loved the row just because, I don't know, it was nice to have like that quiet moment and everything. So, I don't know, the fact that you can't film it as well.
SPEAKER_6 (4:03)
I find that so relaxing.
Chioma Nnadi (4:05)
I also loved Celine. I love that kind of modern magpie approach to fashion, where the sort of tiniest little details and that combination of minimalism but like a little bit hippie, with a lot of personality and everybody was talking about the risi afterwards and how considered everything was and the sense of humor that was tucked into all of the elegance, which I like. I like that it doesn't feel too serious, because sometimes going to shows in Paris, you're just like, or just Paris in general can be a bit humorless.
