Why is Halloween candy $40 a bag?

I was at Walmart the other day and they had the Halloween candy out. They had all of the different sizes and different bags, and the big bag of candy was $40. Now here's the thing. I like to start buying Halloween candy like end of September, because I have all these different containers in my house that have Halloween candy in them, like open skulls, and I have like a pumpkin that's a butler, and he holds it, and I have little hands like this kind of a thing that have bulls. I like candy to be everywhere. So when people come over, I want you to eat as much Halloween candy as you want. I am the auntie that has Halloween candy in her house, and I want you to take it and have fistfuls. You don't come to my house because it's healthy. You don't come to my house because you're going to be thin and beautiful. You're gonna come to my house because you're gonna be beautiful and satisfied. So when you come here, I don't calculate how many almond joys you have. I don't tell you, oh, one pumpkin a person. I say, take what you want. So let me tell you something. By the time the first week of October comes, all that's left in there are like Rolo's and plain M&M's. That's it. Just the like plain Hershey bars. All the good stuff is gone. So I have to replenish it. And if I have to buy more, I have to buy more. Now, fortunately, I'm able to buy more candy. People ask all the time, don't you think that's too expensive? You're buying so many candies. Why don't you spend it on other things? Well, guess what? I don't get drunk at the bar. Okay? So I don't have a bar tab. I don't go places. I don't collect purses. I don't collect those things. If I want to fill up my candy dishes with candy, I'm going to do that. But it is exceedingly expensive to be doing this. So I went to the Dollar Tree, and they do have some of that stuff, like Reese's and this and that. There's like eight pieces in the bag. That's it. Just a flimsy little bag. Now, I'm not knocking Dollar Tree because it is cheaper than other places, which I don't think we've properly talked about this. But I think it's so interesting how many people talk about how expensive things get. And all they have to do is rip Dollar Tree apart because Dollar Tree went up to $1.25 or $1.50, or they have a $5 aisle or whatever it is. But they never bring up Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx or any of these other stores. Why don't you go buy it there and see how expensive it is? But everyone wants to... God damn it. But everyone wants to rip apart Dollar Tree. Maybe Dollar Tree is trying to survive too. All of these places are trying to survive and I understand that. And whose fault is it? Well, of course, it's the president's fault. I mean, listen, we never really talk about that here. Whose fault is it? It's the current administration. We understand that. We know that. We paid the tariffs. We got no refund. It's gonna continue to be this way. We are truly living this Halloween in a hellscape. We don't have to watch horror films. This and this and this and this are HILARIOUS compared to what we're really living through. Hamburger meat? Did you know that a pretzel at Auntie Anne's is more money than what people are getting paid in a national minimum wage?
