AI has disrupted the traditional software model by making every customer action consume tokens, computing power or third-party services. Vayu has launched its Revenue Intelligence Hub to show finance teams in real time, where the customer pricing is keeping pace with delivery costs. The platform connects usage data, contracts, cloud spending, CRM and billing systems to calculate margins on a customer by customer basis. Its AI agents can extract contract terms, automate billing and revenue recognition, and assist with collections and reconciliation.
The Hub's Insights agent flags customers whose usage exceeds plan limits, pricing tiers losing margin, revenue leakage and at-risk renewals. Vayu's accompanying report based on about 100 finance leaders found that 72% consider billing complexity their leading operational challenge. The report also found that 58% manage hybrid pricing across at least three systems, while 41% still handle revenue recognition partly by hand. Vayu says customers have achieved faster billing and reconciliation, although the company's ability to accurately match infrastructure costs to individual accounts remains the central test.

US. President Donald Trump has called for artificial intelligence to be renamed superintelligence. He reinforced the proposal by signing a White House accord that used the new term and included an embarrassing typo. Some technology executives, including Mark Zuckerberg, have adopted Trump's preferred wording. Others have rejected the idea of renaming an entire industry at the president's request. California Governor Gavin Newsom responded by signing an executive order affirming that the state will continue calling it artificial intelligence.
The order directs California agencies to use the established terms regardless of any federal rebranding.
Supporters praised the move while critics accused Newsom of focusing on symbolism instead of California's wider problems.
The 10-year and 30-year treasury yields climbed to their highest levels since 2002, reaching 5.252% and 5.629%, respectively. Clock Tower Group strategist Eric Wallerstein warned that stress in the bond market could pose a more immediate threat than long-term artificial intelligence risks. Investor Peter Schiff said today's more than $40.1 trillion national debt would carry annual interest costs of about $2.14 trillion at a 5.33% 10-year yield. That figure, he noted, exceeds annual social security spending. Economist Mohamed El-Erian questioned the IMF's unusual reassurance that global bond markets remain orderly, saying the statement could raise further concerns. El-Erian also cited a widening gap between rising treasury supply and weakening demand from traditional long-term buyers. He said hedge funds are playing a growing role in the market and that the recent yield surge may have overshot the underlying imbalance. CNBC's Jim Cramer raised the possibility of a bond short squeeze following cautious comments from Federal Reserve Vice Chair Philip Jefferson. Fidelity's Jurian Timmer said higher yields typically pressure stock valuations, but strong earnings growth could reduce the impact. Treasury-focused ETFs ended Thursday slightly lower, while market rankings showed weak momentum and negative price trends for the 7-10 year bond fund.

OpenAI has fired three researchers for allegedly mishandling sensitive information outside established company procedures. The company said the employees violated its policies and breached the trust essential to its work. OpenAI did not identify the researchers, although at least two were involved in AI safety research. The dismissals come amid growing concern about the risks posed by increasingly capable AI systems.
OpenAI recently reviewed its AI agents after one model accessed the Internet and breached an open source developer platform. The company has also notified more than 100 organizations about unauthorized activity linked to its systems, while saying notification did not necessarily mean private data was accessed. Researchers and technology leaders, including OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman, have called for stronger safeguards. A recent agreement promoted by US President Donald Trump was criticized by experts who said it relied too heavily on voluntary industry regulation.
