And the Pentagon releasing the fifth new batch of UFO files, which includes multiple documents, images, and videos. The files include a report from a former military pilot who noticed a massive object covering the stars.

It's The Drew Mariani Show on Relevant Radio.

Drew Mariani (0:35)

Well, hey, thanks for joining me. Let's talk about this. Dr. Diana Pasulka is going to be stopping by. She just did a hit with Joe Rogan two weeks ago. She's been a great contributor to the program over the years, taking a look at so much of the developments that we're seeing now with so-called UFOs or UAPs. This stuff used to belong to science fiction and conspiracy theory, but now the Pentagon is releasing videos, and we got witness interviews and military reports describing objects that investigators still cannot explain. And we can talk about it. I want to get your experiences, too. One pilot described something enormous. Also, they're seeing these triangular type of objects silently passing like over Afghanistan, literally blocking out the stars.

Like, yeah, what is that, right? Another military encounter involved roughly 25 unidentified objects. So what exactly is the government releasing? What do they want us to know? And perhaps just importantly, why are they telling us this now? So this is fascinating stuff today. The Pentagon has a government office actually dedicated to investigating them. And a little bit earlier in the month, the Pentagon released 41 files with what the government now calls unidentified anomalous phenomena, whether the new term is UAPs, right? And we've talked about this. This is the fifth release of the documents under the executive order by President Trump earlier this year. And he wants these federal agencies to, you know, make up additional, anyway, he wants to make these UAP materials public. So CBS News was reporting that the documents span just an extraordinary period, all the way back to the 1950s, right? Up to 2026 And they include material from the Pentagon, from the FBI, from the CIA, from the State Department, and even the Executive Office of the President. And some of the stuff to me is just fascinating. One report described a September 2021 encounter that involved an ACJ-130J gunship over the Gulf of Oman and special operations personnel. These are confident people, right? They reportedly observed 25, not one, not two, not some flicker, 25 UAP encounters during live fire exercises. And according to the intelligence report, the objects appeared as, and this is weird, and I want to talk to Diana about this, because they appeared as orbs.

And when I see this orb stuff, suddenly I get spiritual. I'm thinking, you know, we see a lot of that stuff around the occult, right? That they appeared as cold orbs, and they traveled at speeds from 250 miles to 1,300 miles per hour, and they flew in formations, and apparently maneuvered aggressively. So if this is foreign actor's technology, we're in trouble.

Investigators have not resolved the incident. And there are many, many other accounts. I could spend the half hour just talking to you about them. But let me welcome to the program the author of a brand new book, Dr. Diana Pasulka. She's a professor of religion at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. She specializes in Catholic history. She's the author of American Cosmic, UFOs, Religion and Technology. Her latest book, you can add to your collection, I have both of them, is The Others, UFOs, AI, and the Secret Forces Guiding Human Destiny. Dr. great to have you with us today. Good afternoon.

Diana Pasulka (4:10)

Yeah, thanks Drew. I always like being on your show. It's so fun.

Drew Mariani (4:14)

Oh, it is. I love having you here. I mean, this is just a great topic to talk about because, and you're so, I'm not going to say you're vague on it, but I know people pressure on the spiritual aspects of this. People pressure on whether or not this is alien technology, and you have a way of handling it all. Your book, by the way, if you correct me if I'm wrong, I understand it's on the bestseller list already, New York Times?

Diana Pasulka (4:39)

Yeah, yeah. So it was released July 28th, and within a couple of days it was on the New York Times bestseller list, and I was really happy and shocked, frankly.

Drew Mariani (4:51)

Wow. Congratulations. That's a real accomplishment, and I know the sales are going to continue. That's for sure. Well, let's start with the basics right now. Let's start with what strikes you most significant about the latest batch of UAP files? And of course, you could reflect back on, you know, release one through four, too. I mean, this is the fifth batch, but maybe you can answer this for me, too, because I don't know why now? Why is the government releasing this? Some people speculate it's to prepare us for something bigger, that they're getting more intense.
