All right, Mike Heck here from MMA Fighting, and my good friend Jed Meshew is here with me as well, because Jed, the day has finally arrived. It's app day, the all new SB Nation app. It's live now, it's live, Jed.
Jed Meshew (0:27)
It's alive. Yeah, man, I'm really excited and it's awesome, man. Combat Sports, like all sports, but Combat Sports fans especially, you guys are going to have your voices heard like never before within SB Nation. MMA Boxing, not me, but you, Pro Wrestling Mike, it is a community-based app. It's all about community with the new SB Nation app.
Mike Heck (0:49)
It's so easy to use and it can keep, obviously, Combat Sports fans connected to their favorite teams, and all of sports too across the board. I can keep up with the Red Sox, the Celtics, the Patriots and the Bruins, all on my phone, and it's so simple to use.
Jed Meshew (1:03)
Yeah, like you mentioned those teams, but there's so much more, because I don't care about Boston Sports, Mike, but I get to follow the NFL, all the other sports, F1, the various sports that I care about outside of Combat Sports, and then there's the live experience, because to me, that's one of the coolest things. You can chat with us during Fight Cards every Saturday, and you can chat with other people in the communities as big events are happening. So it's a really good time.
Mike Heck (1:30)
So ladies and gentlemen, come fight with us over on the all new SB Nation app. Download it today. Download it right now. What are you waiting for? Download it.
All right, everybody. Those are the Victory Horns.
And they sound for Canada's own proper Mike Malott. It's a done, knocks out Joaquin Buckley with a, looks like it was supposed to be a body kick, but Buckley just leaned so far forward that Malott's knee just landed right across his freaking face, knocked his mouthpiece out, and Buckley went down for the count. He was out, face first on the mat for a couple seconds. And now Mike Malott, five straight wins, top 10 fighter, making waves, making moves, and no call up, the proper Mike Malott way. But that's okay. But welcome to the Post Fight Show. I am Mike Heck, and this card is over. It tied the modern UFC record for most knockouts, I believe, on a card. 12 out of the 13 fights were finished, and we're already seeing the, if you're watching the UFC Post Show, we're already seeing the promotional victory lap. A lot of people sleeping on this card. Don't you worry, everybody. For those of you who kind of feel like we do, it's like, yeah, there's worse things we could have done tonight. UFC 333 is coming up on Saturday. And that is the type of shit that I am looking forward to. But joining me and I was going to say maybe to shine some light on this, but apparently it won't be that kind of a program for this young man. Mr. No Gray Area, or should I say Mr. Dark Place, as he told me before the program began, the one and only Jed Meshew. Jed, what are we, how are we doing?
Jed Meshew (3:28)
I'm in the darkness, Mike.
I made a promise many years ago that I wouldn't buy particular beverages on air, so this is not filled with anything. But rest assured, the moment the show is over, I'll be taking the edge off of a truly terrible day for your boys.
Yeah, everything that has happened to me today has been quite poor, and we capped it off with a very fun knockout. I've got to give Mike Malott props.
Even whether he meant to throw the knee or not, I don't really care. He meant to throw the strike and it knocked him out and that's sick. But as a man who was like, oh, I'm feeling pretty saucy about Joaquin Buckley, to just be like, nope, that didn't work out at all, which I think I got like four fights on this entire card, right? Just haven't had a good day, Mike, but tomorrow's a new one and it's coming up fast. Hopefully things will be better.
Mike Heck (4:28)
Yeah, how did I do?
I start up real bad. I was eight for 13 I was, yeah, eight for 13
