Instead of focusing on proving Seattle wrong, he's all about showing the Rangers they made the right call. Kartye's made quite the impression in his first few games. He started off on the fourth line, but quickly got promoted to the second line. That's no small feat, especially given the talent around him, Mike Pavel Dorofeyev and JT. Miller. Gotta love that confidence boost, right? His head coach, Mike Sullivan, called him a dog on a bone when it comes to winning possession. That relentless effort has helped him click with his new teammates. They're currently leading the Rangers forward lines and expected goals for percentage, which shows how effective they've been. That's definitely what you want to hear.

Kartye's journey has been interesting. He went from undrafted to making a name for himself in the AHL and even saw action in the playoffs with the Kraken.

Now he's looking to carve out a solid role in New York.

So keep an eye on Kartye as he continues to evolve in the lineup. The next few games will tell us a lot about how he fits into the Rangers' plans moving
