Trump's emergency energy deal with Putin has people freaking out and his joint Russia-Ukraine energy ceasefire has a ridiculous wrinkle in it that may kill it right from the jump. Travelers in Saudi Arabia got a pretty big surprise when over the weekend, they were basically blown up at the airport. The footage is insane, you guys have to see this. The reality in the Strait of Hormuz is still worse than people realize. Both the US and Iran are out there just blowing ships up at will. People do not understand how fast the field of biology is progressing now. Recent breakthroughs in anti-aging are absolutely shocking. And speaking of shocking, wine moms across America rejoice as the Wall Street Journal reports, Kamala Harris is coming back, man. She's making a third run at the presidency. And then the best news of all, everybody, we got Drew back. Welcome, Drew. Hey-o, excited to have him back. We'll get more into that in a minute. But first, we've got to talk about it. Is it all fake?

Why are people freaking out over Trump's emergency energy deal with Putin? Because they are, man. On October 11th, without warning, or apparently even cooperation from Russia and Ukraine, Trump decided to announce an energy ceasefire between the two countries. Effective immediately, he said. We've got an energy ceasefire. And he also said both parties have agreed. The problem? They had not. Zelensky himself said that that was just great of news to him. He had no idea what was happening. But he loved the idea. And Ukraine would, in fact, stop hitting Russian refineries if Russia would just stop hitting Ukraine's energy grid. Now, what did Putin say?

Nothing. The Kremlin was completely silent. Then, just a few moments later, Russia hit a power plant in Kharkiv. Literally, I want you to imagine, like a thought bubble above Trump's head or a dialogue bubble. It's still saying, we've got an energy ceasefire. Both parties have agreed.

They're getting struck.

Clearly, there is not any sort of consensus or understanding between the parties that are supposed to be involved that this is actually going on. Now, pundits have been saying, listen, maybe it could still, people seem to want it, so possibly this is going to happen.

But while that's all in the background, you've also got Trump making the emergency deal with Putin to remove sanctions from their diesel, which has people freaking out.

Most people just are not loving this. So the question becomes, why is Trump doing this? If this is politically unpopular, there's supposedly going to be a bipartisan bill to stop Trump from being able to purchase any of the Russian diesel that he has removed the sanctions on and therefore theoretically lowering the cost. You've got Zelensky also saying, what are we even doing? Russia makes such a small portion of the global impact on energy prices. He said it was 2.2%. I haven't had a chance to fact check that, to find out how close that is. It's certainly a much bigger deal in Europe than that. So I'd be a little surprised if that take was exactly accurate. But when you boil this down to what Trump's motives are, they're pretty straightforward. He wants diesel prices down before the November midterms. He has created a massive dumpster fire in the Middle East, which has obviously kept prices high. Now prices right now are sort of middling in terms of the high end, but they're still at the high end. I think at last check, we were at like 102
