The way I try to differentiate where Have I Got News sits in the Oliver Daily Show verse of Political Satire is that we are here to simply tell you what happened.
We don't have the time to get into why and who and what is the solution and the deep dive. We just don't have time because we like to be the show where you need to know what's happening politically with Trump but then you also need to know that a dude got himself kicked out of a WNBA game and there was a green dildo. Like we want to cover the gamut.
