Jim Cramer (1:02)

It's Jim Cramer here. You're listening to the opening bell of CNBC Squawk on the Street. Don't miss a minute of the action.

Carl Quintanilla (1:10)

Good Tuesday morning. Welcome to Squawk on the Street. I'm Carl Quintanilla with Jim Cramer, David Faber at Post 9 of the New York Stock Exchange. Multiple tailwinds for the bulls today. As the president says, he'll delay those 50 percent tariffs on the EU. Meantime, some speculation. Bank of Japan will trim some long-term bond issuance. Yields lower across the globe are 30 years back below 5 A roadmap begins with the president delaying that threat of tariffs on the EU until July, as the bloc agrees to ramp up trade talks with this country.

David Faber (1:37)

Also ahead, M&A meets AI. Salesforce agrees to acquire Informatica. It's a deal worth about $8 billion in terms of the equity involved. Plus, we got a lot of news involving Elon Musk. Weakness, of course, in Tesla's sales overseas, particularly in Europe. His ex-post stating he will be super focused on the companies that he owns or controls.

Carl Quintanilla (1:58)

Let's begin with the markets as we kick off this holiday shortening trading week. Jim, you were impressed by futures, but you said maybe they're up so much, it's hard to buy right here.

Jim Cramer (2:07)

Yeah, I mean, look, we come in and it's just a radical reverse. Think about where we were Friday.

We did feel that the president got very angry. We felt that other than the deal that we're going to talk about with Nippon Steel, there really was nothing positive. We started hearing that the Senate is going to disagree with the House bill. Obviously, everybody's concerned about the tenure just going off. Then suddenly we wake up to a possible deal? I mean, a deal, that changes everything. We just need one deal to have everyone fall in line. And then you also have, not to be too political about it, but David, you get Putin as bad guy, then suddenly Europe has a reason to make a deal. Because listen, you sell us arms, you make us more NATO-like, we'll make a deal. I mean, everything's coming together in terms of smoothing out things. It helps that he's against, that he changes the narrative and suggests that...

David Faber (3:09)

Right, we're suggesting now that we may try and enforce new sanctions on Russia. But we're not providing any new arms to Ukraine.

Jim Cramer (3:18)

No, but that could be, next, that could be a great thing to argue. It's been a total full stop. I mean, even the Great Britain...

David Faber (3:25)

Yeah, well, we're delivering what was still allowed. We haven't fully delivered on everything that had been previously promised under the previous administration, but there's been no signs that we're willing to re-engage.

Jim Cramer (3:35)

If you're RTX, in terms of providing them... Boom, you're just not making it.

David Faber (3:40)

So, I don't know. It's interesting you rolled Ukraine into the Euro thing. By the way, are we really close to a deal with Europe?

Jim Cramer (3:47)

I think that what we're close to is a serious discussion that they have said is serious, not us. I mean, we say a lot of things. Our president says a lot of things. There's no sign that it's that kind of impetuous 50%. I think there's more like, okay, we got to move on here.

And we want, we see a possibility. Now, look, I don't know. I mean, the president is arbitrary about this stuff. But who, did you think that you'd wake up to see the EU saying perhaps substantive things? If you're sure, which has been just a license-
