Hey, thanks for staying up late. It's a Thursday night, McGraw Milhaven. At Night, Coast to Coast. From Coast to Coast, we are bringing you At Night. We got lots to get to tonight. Let me give you the quick rundown on the show. It's Thursday, and every Thursday, we check in with Bill Clevlen, our roving reporter, our travel correspondent. He is in West Virginia. So we're going to be checking in with him a little bit later on. Bill Clevlen from West Virginia. Also, Scott Colbert is going to be joining us. He's the Chief Economist and Director of Fixed Income for a Midwestern Bank Commerce Bank Trust. And he is our go-to when it comes to the economy. And each month, he joins us and gives us a primer on what's going on with the markets, what's going on with the interest rates, what's going on with the bond market.
So we give a sort of primer each and every month about what to think. And with the bond market gyrating quite a bit in the last 30 days, we had a pretty good unemployment number come out, it was revised down, lots to get to with Scott Colbert. So we'll check in with him a little bit later on. And then there was a fun story we found, being a Gen Xer myself. And believe it or not, my brethren in the generation are starting to become grandparents.
They weren't smart like me and wait till you're 55 to have a child. Yes, they do call me Tony Randall.
But Gen Xers are starting to become, believe it or not, the slacker generation.
The generation grew up being told by our elders, you people can't even find the Atlantic Ocean on a map. And then we grew up, got smart, figured it out. And now that we're becoming grandparents, we don't want to be called grandma or grandpa. So it was a fun conversation. I love generational talk like that. I find that to be some of the most fun talk, is how the generations are similar and how the generations are different and how, right? The baby boomer is now, President Trump will be the last baby boomer president and will move on to the Gen Xers, or maybe the Millennials or the Gen Yers, right? The Millennials are next, I think, right? It goes Gen X and then the Millennials. And so they're now coming into power and how their philosophies and worlds have been shaped and opinions have been shaped. So we'll get into some of that throughout the next year or so. But yeah, Gen Xers, we'll talk about them coming up a little bit later on. But this first half of the first half hour, some interesting stories. Kimberly Gafoil used to be married to Gavin Newsom. Then she became a Fox News star. Then she became the fiance of Donald Trump Jr. They broke up. She got the job as a Greece ambassador. Now some embarrassing stories in the Wall Street Journal about her are coming out. We'll talk about that as well as some other possibly embarrassing news in the Trump administration with Donald Trump Jr. We'll do all that coming up straight ahead. We're just getting started. At Night, back in a minute.

Welcome back At Night. A couple of interesting stories in the news. We thought we'd talk to one of our experts, former federal prosecutor and president of the West Coast Trial Lawyers and a prominent national legal analyst. You see him everywhere from NewsNation to CNN to Fox News to MSNBC. Neama Rahmani. Neama, welcome back to At Night.
Neama Rahmani (5:06)
McGraw, thanks for having me as always.
McGraw Milhaven (5:08)
Let's talk about this Wall Street Journal bombshell of a story that talks about Kimberly Gafoil, the ambassador to Greece. They have signaled messages from a Trump supporter asking for $100,000 to pay off her American Express spill, and he seemed to be wanting to gain access to the Trump administration. It is a very, very embarrassing article in the Wall Street Journal. Neama, what do you make of this story?
