**Donald Trump** (0:01)
Hi, this is Donald Trump. A great radio show is like my hair. Strong, unique, and completely out of control. Now pay attention to these guys, or you'll be fired.
**Ethan Hatcher** (0:12)
Hammer and Nigel on 93WIBC.
**Nigel** (0:17)
Ethan Hatcher's filling in for Hammer.
My name is Nigel. Now you heard from Donald Trump there in the opening. Big fan of the Hammer Nigel Show. He was at the New York Knicks game last night. Some say Donald Trump jinxed it and lost it for him. Knicks lost that game to the Spurs, 115 to 111 in game three, game four tomorrow night. But Donald Trump was in attendance sitting in the owner's suite. I don't know if you saw any of this. I know you're not a big sports guy. Yeah, no.
**Ethan Hatcher** (0:48)
Knicks suck anyway though. They were going to lose whether Trump was there or not.
**Nigel** (0:51)
Oh wow. They won two on the road in San Antonio. They had to come back to lose to Madison Square Garden.
**Ethan Hatcher** (0:58)
Perennial disappointment, the Knicks.
**Nigel** (0:59)
We're trying to figure out, did you see? I'm going to play a couple of different pieces of audio. Did Trump get booed? Did he get cheered? Was a little bit of both. This is during the national anthem, this audio here, and they pan up the Jumbotron there in Madison Square Garden, pans up to Donald Trump, who's in the owner's box, and he's giving that he's doing a salute. He's like, you know, holding his hand up to his head while they're doing the national anthem. You tell me, Ethan.
Cameras on Trump the entire time.
**Ethan Hatcher** (1:48)
It's not what I would call an enthusiastic crowd. I definitely heard more boo-boos than cheers, but there were for sure some cheers mixed in there, you know.
**Nigel** (1:57)
All right, now let me play another piece of audio here because the arena erupted with chants of USA, USA, USA when they showed Trump on the Jumbotron as well. I think it was before, it may have been after this, I'm not sure.
**Ethan Hatcher** (2:23)
The USA should supersede any party now.
**Nigel** (2:26)
Right.
**Ethan Hatcher** (2:27)
Country before party. We can chant for the USA no matter who's president, or at least I would hope.
**Nigel** (2:32)
Okay, I understand what you're saying.
**Ethan Hatcher** (2:33)
I mean, if Barack Obama's president, did you stop chanting, USA?
**Nigel** (2:37)
No, no, but what I'm saying is the camera was on Trump the entire time during that chant. And now they were, I believe the announcers were talking, they were introducing the fire department, the FDNY and things like that, and law enforcement agency paying acknowledge and tribute. But they were showing Trump the entire time.
**Ethan Hatcher** (3:00)
Donald Trump's got fans in New York City. It's his backyard. You got to figure out, he's got a few people on there that support him.
**Nigel** (3:05)
And he's a Knicks fan.
And some people are blaming him for the law. It's so stupid. I can understand why you don't get into that, get into sports.
**Ethan Hatcher** (3:16)
Well, the sports people are a superstitious lot, you know?
**Nigel** (3:20)
They are. Now, there's this guy named Steve A. Smith on ESPN, million dollar talking head, man, highest paid, highest paid talking head there. I mean, making millions of dollars and he's dipping his toes, not dipping. He's going into like podcasting and politics, said he's going to run for president here.
He had said it's going to be Donald Trump's fault if the Knicks lose that game three. Here is a reporter asking Trump about that outside Air Force One after the game.
**Donald Trump** (3:51)
It was, I think, mostly cheers. It was, it was loud and it was very enthusiastic. Mr. President, ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith was talking about running for president.
**Ethan Hatcher** (4:02)
He said he would blame you if the Knicks lost the game.
**Donald Trump** (4:05)
How do you respond to that? I think he's a nice guy, but you need a certain aptitude to run for president. You need a high IQ. I'm not sure that Stephen has that.
I don't think he does, actually.
**Nigel** (4:19)
Let me start out with a compliment and then just drop, back hands, drop, kicks it.
As a nice guy, just as low IQ. He wants to run for president. Is that what he said? Now you got to have a certain aptitude. That ain't going to happen.
**Ethan Hatcher** (4:34)
OK.
**Nigel** (4:35)
Meanwhile, New York fans doing what New York fans, Knicks fans do, massive brawl, pepper spray deployed at some riotous Knicks fans watch party, which I thought they canceled all the the watch parties and stuff because Trump was coming into town. But listen to this massive brawl during a fans watch party. They're just beating the crap out of each other.
