It is economic D-Day. According to the president, what does that mean? Well, we're talking Iran, and of course, the latest sanctions thing is ramping up there. It sounds more like an economic game of chicken. Jason Butchell describing earlier this week. We'll talk about that story. We got so many big, big stories to wade through today. Justin Barclay in for Glenn today in The Glenn Beck Program. Dinesh D'Souza joins us coming up in the program as well, and an interesting candidate for Congress. One with a background I think you're going to love.
And a future that could help save the nation. All of that and more coming up as we kick things off today on this edition of The Glenn Beck Program, back right after this.

I think about Providence often these days. The idea that we're stewards of our families, our communities, our own safety. The founders understood this. It's woven into the fabric of who we are as Americans. And I want to share something with you. It's called BRNA, B-Y-R-N-A. And it's changed how I think about personal protection. Here's the thing. Most people assume self-defense is complicated. You need training, licensing, you know, government approval. But BRNA is legal in all 50 states. No permit, no background check, because your right to protect your family shouldn't require anyone's permission. The range on this is 60 feet. That's not pepper spray distance. That's real distance. It gives you time to think, to move, to get your family safe. It's simple enough that anyone can use it, anyone. And it's built in Fort Wayne, Indiana, right here in America, in American hands, American craftsmanship. And that matters to me. And I think it matters to you. I'm not here to scare you. I'm here to tell you being prepared isn't paranoia. It's love. It's what we do for the people that you do anything for. So go to BRNA, byrna.com/glenn.

So this is Economic D-Day.
President saying we are going after Iran in ways that we haven't done it yet. And of course, what's interesting about all this is the way that Jason described it earlier in the week on the show, kind of like a back and forth between, at least it's what it sounds like to me, the back and forth between what could be Economic D-Day for us as well. It is, to me, it's feeling more and more like a game of chicken between the two in this scenario. This is the report this morning from Fox News.

Targeting to run oil and finances, which he is calling Economic D-Day.

Yeah, hey guys, good morning. Overnight President Trump announced what he is calling Economic D-Day against Iran. The president indicated that any countries around the world that are providing any sort of economic lifeline to the Iranian regime would face their own economic consequences. He called on allies to stand with the United States, posting to True Social, No one has given the Islamic Republic of Iran a greater opportunity to make a deal than me. Tragically for them, they have failed to take it. And therefore, today I am announcing the most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country. This will be economic warfare and isolation on an unprecedented scale. On Wednesday, the president described the state of play amid reports that the United States is still overseeing vessels through a safe corridor to export millions of barrels of oil out of the Persian Gulf each day.
**Donald Trump** (4:28)
But the deal didn't terminate, you know, the deal didn't turn out to be what they said, you know, when they tell us one thing and they do another. But the blockade has been 100% successful. No boats have gotten into Iran.
**Justin Barclay** (4:39)
It is interesting, because there's another piece of this story that we'll have to dig into as well. Axios has a really fascinating look into what is secretly happening behind us. You know, we've gotten glimpses at this previously as well. I've got the president's full statement, we'll do that coming up. He spoke here in the Oval yesterday as they met doing the crypto meeting yesterday.
**Donald Trump** (5:05)
Tell us one thing and they do another. But the blockade has been 100% successful. No boats have gotten into Iran, but they are getting in for other places. But we'll see. We're going to see what happens. It'll either be extremely good and oil prices are going to drop like a rock or we'll continue to do exactly what we're doing. You know, they were talking about $350 a barrel, and it's today $84, $85.
