You're listening to Trivia Time, the podcast quiz show. Each week we present a pub quiz style program with four rounds of varying themes consisting of eight questions each, in addition to a bonus anagram. If you'd like, we have a PDF scoring sheet available on our website, triviatimepodcast.com, which you can use to answer along. Each correct answer will be worth one point unless specified otherwise. Similar to a pub quiz experience, we serve up a fun mix of trivia as well as friendly banter. Get together with your trivia team or play solo, at home, or on the go, because it's trivia time.
Welcome to episode 367 of Trivia Time, the podcast quiz show.
I'm your host, Kelly Sharon, and I'm joined by our quiz master, Ricky Lyme.
Rickey Lime (1:02)
Hi, Kelly. How's it going, bud?
Kelly Sharron (1:04)
It's going pretty well. How are you?
Rickey Lime (1:05)
I'm doing pretty well as well. Yeah.
Good news, bad news. Bad news is I threw out my back, so I've been sedentary for the last week and a half, but the good news is I've been catching up on trivia.
Kelly Sharron (1:20)
Right.
At the computer. Yes.
Rickey Lime (1:23)
So, yeah, just trying to look on the bright side over here, you know?
Kelly Sharron (1:28)
Yeah, back stuff is the worst.
Rickey Lime (1:29)
It's the worst. Other than that, I'm fine. I have a fun episode for everyone today.
Before we get into it, just a few things to mention. It is a new month. It is October. Happy October. My favorite month of the year, for obvious reasons. This means that we have a brand new visual roundup on our website. This also means that the answers for our September visual round will be coming up at the end of this episode. So hopefully you guys had a chance to take a look. Also, a few folks to give a thank you to.
Big thanks to Canard B for leaving us a five-star review. Thanks so much. Also, we have two new patrons. Welcome aboard to GC as well as Felicity. Thanks so much for your support, friends.
Kelly Sharron (2:14)
It really means a lot. Thanks, y'all.
Rickey Lime (2:16)
Sure does. And then just one more thing. An exciting thing. I'll be hosting a Halloween-themed quiz at Good Time in Long Beach on October 22nd. That's a Thursday, and that one starts at 6:30 p.m. So join me if you can.
Kelly Sharron (2:32)
Very fun. I know that'll be a good one.
All right, it's time to get to our bonus anagram of the week. This will be due at the end of our program after we reveal the answers to round five, so you have plenty of time to work on it.
Rickey Lime (2:46)
And this anagram actually goes out to Cory, who is celebrating a birthday and loves contemporary fiction. So this one is for her from Anthony Glenda and the Kids. Happy birthday, Cory.
Kelly Sharron (2:57)
Happy birthday. Our bonus anagram this week is, No Leg Wand. N-O-L-E-G-W-A-N-D. And the question that goes with this anagram is, authored by Daniel Krauss, what best-selling 2026 novel written as a single unbroken sentence won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.
Moving on to round one.
Rickey Lime (3:23)
Round one is called The Worst of Us. So this episode comes out on National German American Day. So I put together these eight general knowledge questions with answers that all include a German word or name that is commonplace in the English language, Prost.
That means cheers, Kelly.
Kelly Sharron (3:46)
Question number one. Also known as the helping hand, a red-nosed four-fingered white glove named Lefty is the mascot for what illiteratevly named boxed food product. Question number two. What is the name of the late great Tim Curry's character in the 1975 cult classic film Rocky Horror Picture Show?
Question number three. Clydesdale horses appear in seasonal ads for what beer brand distributed by Anheuser-Busch with the slogan, the king of beers.
Question number four. What comedic actor and TV personality originally joined Ryan Seacrest on stage during season one as a co-host for the popular talent competition TV series, American Idol. Question number five. What illiteratevly named Ramones 1976 hit includes the chorus lyrics, Hey ho, let's go, shoot them in the back now. What they want, I don't know. They're all revved up and ready to go.
Question number six. What German philosopher and revolutionary scientist co-authored the 1848 political pamphlet The Communist Manifesto with Frederick Engels? Question number seven. Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in what 1990 action comedy film as an undercover police detective named John Kimball who finds himself working with young children? Question number eight. Originally called a wire-haired pincher, what dog breed with German origins has a name that translate to whiskered snout or mustache? We'll give you a few seconds of music to wrap things up before we move on to the answers.
