**Brian Alvey** (0:21)
Well, I'm doing great. And again, let me thank you for letting me come on. And like I said, I put out a post on social media said poor Nigel, he's going to have 220 pounds of dead weight. He's going to have to drive live through air the next day or two.

**Nigel** (0:35)

Tony, first of all, are you in New York or you in DC? Where are you right now?

I'm currently in the Big Apple in New York.

**Nigel** (0:57)
I hate it.

**Tony Kinnett** (0:57)
I hate this town. I hate it so much. I can't even put on a grin.

**Nigel** (1:02)
Hold on. Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute. I mean, you got to go on national TV last night. I saw you on the CNN panel with what's the show with Abby Phillip?

**Tony Kinnett** (1:14)
It's called CNN Newsnight, and their producers described it to me as like a dinner party argument, and there was not enough Chardonnay on planet Earth to get me through that cat fight fast. I mean, it was fun. To be honest, actually, Abby Phillip gave me some great parental advice of all things, because our daughter likes drawing on the walls. Abby has a kid a bit older and she said, hey, here's how you solve that problem. So that wasn't on camera, which is unfortunate, because that was actually useful.

**Nigel** (1:47)
Like a real moment, too.

**Tony Kinnett** (1:50)
Yeah, I was like, hey, give her a ream of printer paper and she'll stop drawing on the walls. And I was like, write that down, write that down.

**Nigel** (1:55)
So give me some insight as to how, like Scott Jennings was on that panel, too. He's a star at CNN, right?

**Tony Kinnett** (2:03)
He is. He's a great guy.
He's a friend of our show. And he's kind of a mentor for me in some of this broadcast network space. And he and I sat there, the Kentuckian and the Hoosier, and looked across each other at the table the entire evening as the gaslighting commenced.

**Nigel** (2:21)
Yeah, I was going to say, how many times did you look at each other and roll your eyes with the other panelists there, the other liberal progressive panelists?

**Tony Kinnett** (2:29)
So one thing I wasn't expecting is that they always have a camera on either me, Scott, or this guy at the end of the table who didn't even get to talk the whole time. His name is Jamel. He's more of a libertarian guy.
And so the camera was always on one of the three of us to get our reaction. It was the weird, I've never seen camera framing like that in my entire life, but I had to use it. So there was very little like shared looks things because if the cameras caught it, there literally is an article about my reaction during one of the segments, which is the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me.

**Nigel** (3:03)
The clip that I saw was stunningly infuriating. I even could tell by the look in your face that you were even having to...

**Tony Kinnett** (3:14)
I called like 220 pounds of dead weight to quote a famous broadcast.

**Brian Alvey** (3:19)
You could only aspire to be this much dead weight.

**Nigel** (3:24)
First of all, before I go on, I'm not here to pepper you with questions about going on national TV, but these panel discussions, I think, are fascinating sometimes. Were you on the entire hour?

**Brian Alvey** (3:37)
Yeah.

**Tony Kinnett** (3:38)
So they pick four or five people, and you sit at this round table. And honestly, the sound stage itself was gorgeous.
The production staff, people don't realize this, but they don't usually ask you your political affiliation to run the camera. And so there's a surprising number of conservative, and believe it or not, Hoosiers, that work on the CNN production staff in New York, including one fan, and I'm not joking, of Hammer and Nigel.

OK. So, yeah, tell them who said what's up. Now, the clip that I saw was you and the panel arguing for four minutes. I can't even believe they're still arguing about the White House Ballroom that Trump wants to build. Can you maybe give us the backstory on what this ballroom is and then take us through, like you just decimated, by the way, like Abby and some of the other panelists that were against this ballroom. I can't even believe that was the topic of discussion. I can't...
