Just before we get started, I just wanted to say a big thank you to our partner Sky Bet, and please don't forget to subscribe if you like. I hope you enjoy this episode. What are you least looking forward to?
**Roy Keane** (0:12)
Do you know what, I'm trying to be really positive about it.
**Ian Wright** (0:14)
Me too.
**Roy Keane** (0:14)
Even you're horrible going away for us in New York.
**Gary Neville** (0:18)
Five weeks.
**Roy Keane** (0:18)
Together. I think it's five and a half weeks.
**Gary Neville** (0:21)
Five and a half weeks, yeah.
**Roy Keane** (0:22)
How we all cope with each other, and the challenges of all that stuff, being away from the family.
**Ian Wright** (0:26)
You do it a little, don't you? Is it challenging? I mean, how do you get your gear over?
**Gary Neville** (0:30)
Your gear?
**Ian Wright** (0:30)
Well, you got to wear, I mean, five weeks.
**Roy Keane** (0:34)
We got an e-mail the other day, you must have got the same e-mail, about how much luggage we can take, and I think they've said we can bring five cases.
**Ian Wright** (0:42)
What?
**Roy Keane** (0:42)
Did you not get...
**Gary Neville** (0:43)
I've got two cases. I mean, five.
**Roy Keane** (0:44)
Right, I guess it's something like... We know somebody who's definitely bringing five.
**Jill Scott** (0:50)
That's just for his hats.
**Peter Crouch** (0:51)
That's just for his hats.
**Ian Wright** (0:53)
I need clothes to wear and clothes to wear. Of course.
**Roy Keane** (0:56)
I'm bringing literally one case.
**Ian Wright** (0:59)
One case. I don't even have that much clothes for six.
**Roy Keane** (1:01)
But you can buy clothes over there. Buy a bit of linen, is it?
**Ian Wright** (1:05)
That's what I'm telling you. We need some linen, something that's going to flow in us.
**Roy Keane** (1:10)
No, but I'm looking forward to all that stuff, being in Brooklyn and bracing in America.
**Ian Wright** (1:14)
Going to High Line, we're going to go to see the Yankees. Yeah, the baseball, basketball. I'm going to watch some basketball, watch some golf.
**Roy Keane** (1:22)
A little bit of football.
**Ian Wright** (1:23)
We probably have to watch a little bit of football. I'm going to do everything. I'm going to make it like a home from home, just going to go and get right amongst it.
**Roy Keane** (1:32)
I'm going to try and do it out as well, to be honest.
**Ian Wright** (1:33)
Let's go to a jazz club, man. Let's go and see. Jazz club sounds good, yeah. Yeah, let's go and see a cheeky little jazz club. We could just walk about, just ease in.
You know what I mean? I might get my jazz flick out. Do a jazz flick.
**Roy Keane** (1:45)
Well, I've got me harmonica.
**Ian Wright** (1:46)
We can do a bit.
**Gary Neville** (1:47)
And Roy's got a little club membership now, right?
**Ian Wright** (1:49)
Yeah, yeah. It's not confirmed yet. It's not confirmed yet.
He's not confirmed yet. He's got it.
**Peter Crouch** (1:54)
He knows he's got it. He's got it now. He's not.
**Roy Keane** (1:58)
He's not yet. Set me off for a fall. No, no, no, no, no.
**Gary Neville** (2:09)
Tom, I've listened to you quite a bit. And do you, did you ever lose your confidence? What was your, what was a point in your career where you just felt like you didn't want that? You said before you want the, you wanted the ball in, in your hands in the big moment. Yeah. But was it a point where you went under a little bit, where you lost confidence?
**Tom Brady** (2:23)
In college.
**Gary Neville** (2:24)
In college?
**Tom Brady** (2:25)
In college. Yeah. Because I wasn't the best, I had to develop a lot of confidence in myself. And I looked at, I went to Michigan. There's a great program.
I had a very challenging five years at Michigan, where I was growing into the athlete that I wanted to be. And I would very much make a lot of excuses why I wasn't performing at my best. And there was a sports psychologist there named Greg Harden.
And Greg said to me, he called me into his office and he was a great asset to the organization. Unfortunately, Greg passed away about a year ago. He was a sports psychologist.
And he said, why don't you quit bitching about all the things you're not getting? And how about you do the best with whatever opportunities you get?
Stop worrying about what the other quarterback's getting. Stop worrying about what the coach is saying to you. Every time you get in there, you bring the juice, you bring the energy, you bring the enthusiasm, you treat practice like a game. Because if you just decide to go out there and you're blaming everybody else, where does that get you?
