Charlie Kirk (0:03)
My name is Charlie Kirk. I run the largest pro-American student organization in the country, fighting for the future of our republic. My call is to fight evil and to proclaim truth. If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable. But if the most important thing is doing good, you will end up purposeful. College is a scam, everybody. You got to stop sending your kids to college. You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible. Go start a Turning Point USA college chapter. Go start a Turning Point USA high school chapter. Go find out how your church can get involved. Sign up and become an activist. I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade. Most important decision I ever made in my life, and I encourage you to do the same. Here I am. Lord, use me. Buckle up, everybody. Here we go.

Jack (1:17)
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Thoughtcrime Thursday.
It's been a wild couple of days, a busy couple of days around here. A lot of thought crimes have been happening. A lot of thought crimes have eaten up the nation. A lot of thought crimes that have been committed by us as usual, but also by other people. We're going to get into a lot of that. Who we have right now?
Blake (1:41)
We've got everyone. Tyler came in mid-opening.
Mikey McCoy (1:44)
Oh my gosh. Wait a minute.
Tyler?
Blake (1:46)
He arrived exactly on time.
SPEAKER_5 (1:48)
Did you manifest him somehow?
Tyler (1:50)
Landing the plane. And then I just helicoptered right in.
Blake (1:54)
Andrew is off doing something cool with families or whatever the heck you people have.
Mikey McCoy (2:00)
Andrew coal vet.
Jack (2:01)
Coal posting coal vet.
Blake (2:03)
Yeah, exactly. Coal vet is off coaling with the vets or something. And so, we have Mikey. Mikey McCoy rejoins the squad, which is great because I think he's going to have very strong opinions on an exciting first topic.
Tyler (2:17)
Very powerful stuff. I'm the deep bench recruit.
Mikey McCoy (2:21)
Exactly.
Tyler (2:22)
Oh, we're missing four or five people.
Mikey McCoy (2:24)
The deep state.
Blake (2:25)
The deep state. Yeah, something like that.
Mikey McCoy (2:27)
Deep state Mikey.
Blake (2:29)
Deep bench Mikey. Deep knowledge of television Mikey because I think we want to start with something a little bit lighter. We were debating between this and an extremely heavy topic. So, I think we're going to ease people in.
And that is the classic discussion topic of the New York Times made a list. So, everyone argues about whether the list was correct. And this time, the list of the New York Times made was the top television shows of the entire millennium.
Tyler (2:55)
Wow.
Blake (2:55)
The first 26 years of the millennium.
Tyler (2:56)
I haven't seen this at all. So, I'm really interested in what horrible shows.
Blake (3:02)
What's cool about the New York Times when they do it, I know they're annoying, but the New York Times has enough gravitas, enough prestige, they can get pretty serious people, and they can get a lot of them to respond. And so, they got about 500 television professionals to vote on what they think the best 100 TV shows of this, basically of this century, so the past 26 years. And in the least surprising development ever, they said that number one was, that's right, it's not The Sopranos, because The Sopranos debuted in 1999 It doesn't qualify.
SPEAKER_7 (3:34)
So, they said number one.
Blake (3:36)
What's that?
Jack (3:37)
Wait, Blake, let's set parameters real quick here, because typically The Sopranos is seen as the start of the Golden Age of Television. So, are the parameters from January 1st, 2000 on? Is that what we're saying?
Blake (3:51)
Yes, exactly. The Sopranos actually debuted in January 1999 So even though by far the better part of its run occurred this century, it has to debut this millennium. And so, got cut out, and instead, the number one show, actually, since you haven't seen it, Tyler, can you guess what the number one show was?
Tyler (4:10)
I just cheated. I saw it.
Blake (4:11)
Oh, you cheated. Mikey, have you cheated and looked at the list?
Tyler (4:14)
I'm looking at it right now.
Mikey McCoy (4:16)
