Everyone was bracing for a Black Monday crash today. Instead, peace talks hit the wires and stocks are ripping. But look at the other screen. France is on fire. Rioters are looting stores and storming city halls. And later, we'll get to the bottom of what these riots are really about. So you've got a boom on one screen and a society coming apart on the other. And despite all of it, Michael Saylor says we're moving back into a bull market. So which one is real? The boom or the collapse? Today, I'll show you why it's both, and why Bitcoin comes out ahead no matter which one hits first. This is TruthBlock, I'm Hurley, let's mine truth.
Before we get into it today, drop your gut call in the comments. Is this rally the real thing? Or is the crash just running late? And if you're getting values out of these videos, don't forget to hit subscribe so you don't miss the next one. Bitcoin is holding steady just under 82k right now, as the mood in the markets flipped fast. On Friday, about a trillion dollars came out of US stocks. Oil spiked over $111.
And the NASDAQ closed out its worst week since June. Traders bought a record amount of cash protection. And the internet spent the weekend counting down to the anniversary of the 1987 Black Monday crash. Then the peace headlines hit. Putin floated a sit-down with Trump and Xi. And this morning, an Arab news outlet reported a US-Iran deal could land this week. And by late morning, the NASDAQ 100 had added about $650 billion.
Now, nobody has signed anything with Iran yet. It's important to remember that back in June, the two sides announced a framework to end the war. Oil fell down under $84.
And by July, the strikes were back. So the market is trading a headline, but it's telling you which way it wants to run. James Lavish laid out both sides of this trade on Bitcoin for Millennials last week.

I mean, I would like to see a resolution out of the Middle East to just calm down the short-term pressure of inflation thinking out there, expectations, give the Fed some cover that they don't need to be raising rates here. The economy is quite isolated with this AI buildout, the AI investment, and that's where most of the gains in stocks have come from. And so it's very top heavy. So it worries me, Bram, that something happens where you have a drawdown in those companies and in that trade. And so that could kind of, that could cause a cascade effect of a drawdown overall, especially if there's a certain event that happens around it. Who knows what that would be? So I do am wary of a correlation to one event because the markets are at all time highs here or right near them.
That's one thing I worry about. But a resolution, a resolution in our midterms, some uncertainty cleared up around that and around the war would be good for Bitcoin. That would produce a lot of tailwinds. But all things being equal, I think that Bitcoin has seen its lows and it's going to continue to, you know, on its upward trajectory here. And it's going to continue to gather momentum as one of those assets that people want to own in the face of the things that we talked about.
The rise in yields, which is a symptom of a problem in the bond markets, the reluctance to own long-term treasuries because you don't want to have negative real returns on those. And I just expect that Bitcoin has come out of that down cycle and it's making its way out of it. Could it chop around here? Could it come back down to the high 60s, low 70s? Sure, of course it could. It's Bitcoin. But without some sort of market event, I think that we're just headed higher over the long term here.

So peace is the switch. The Kobisi letter laid out how the dominoes fall if it flips. Energy prices drop, inflation expectations follow, the Fed gets room to stop hiking, and the rally spreads beyond a handful of AI stocks. Every one of those is a tailwind for Bitcoin. And at Parify's Investor Day, Michael Saylor named the three headwinds that have been holding Bitcoin back.
Listen specifically for the second one.

We're moving back into a bull market. You should normally track the 200 week simple moving average, and you can see we bounced off it about three months ago. We're back to a slight premium. But if you look at the chart, the chart looks exactly like you would expect the chart to look, if you had a 15-year timeframe on this.
