This is the Six Figure Home Studio Podcast, episode 143 You're listening to the Six Figure Home Studio Podcast.
Welcome back to another episode of the 6 Figure Home Studio Podcast. I am your host, Brian Hood, and I'm again not here with my co-host, Chris Graham. He is back, actually. He's on next week's episode, which we recorded yesterday, which is really confusing because this whole series is...
Chris came back in the middle of this series, so whatever. But he'll be back again. Next week, he was out on vacation, so I've been taking care of a lot of the solo episodes, why he's been gone.
If you missed last week's episode, this episode is a continuation of that, so you do not want to just listen to this episode as a standalone. This is directly picking up where the last episode left off. Just to catch you up if you listened a week ago and you kind of need a refreshing of your memory, this series is my 30,000-foot ultimate guide on creating a marketing plan for your business. This is how I do marketing for the Six Figure Home Studio. This is how I do marketing for FilePass. This is how I do marketing when I teach my students. And so this works for not only studios.
And the reason I'm doing this series is because we talk about these individual aspects of marketing in these siloed standalone episodes all throughout the podcast. This is episode 143 now. So we have 142 episodes in our backlog spanning almost three years now.
So this stuff is just spread out all over the place on our podcast. So this series is my attempt of going through a marketing plan, how to implement one from top to bottom in order, in the order that you should be tackling things.
So if you listened last week, I talk about rating your business on a 1 to 3 scale.
1 means it's non-existent or it's terrible and you need to work on it immediately. A 2 out of 3 means it's good enough for now and you can move on. And a 3 out of 3 means this part of my marketing plan is already in place, it's fantastic and I don't need to touch it.
And focus on those ones before you start focusing on the 2s and 3s. And now, instead of having to pick and choose based on what you think you need for your studio to fix your marketing efforts, now you can just listen to this episode and I refer you back to tons and tons of episodes. This is really an episode to point you in the right direction, depending on what you need in your business. So again, go back to listen to episode 142, where I already talked about the foundational parts of your marketing plan. This is where we get to part 2, where we get to the more fun parts, the top of funnel parts and some middle of funnel stuff for getting more traffic to your website, for getting more leads in the door, for getting more court requests to your studio. This is the fun stuff, but none of this matters until you get the other stuff in place. That's the entire point of this marketing plan. It's not just one part of your funnel. It's not just the fun stuff. It's all of it. It's the entire plan from top to bottom. And so you cannot ignore the stuff from the previous episode.
So part 2 of your marketing plan. This is just a continuation of last week, where we covered the first 8 foundational parts. So now we are on number 9
And this is my mistake. This actually should have been part of the foundational episode, but I'm working at like 2% brain capacity right now because of my burnout. So you have to forgive me on this. But this is something called your go-giver marketing plan. Again, this is foundational aspects. You have to get this done before any of this top of funnel stuff is even going to work for you. But your go-giver marketing plan, is long story short, how you plan to give value to your ideal customers.
This part of your plan, being a go-giver, is non-negotiable in today's age. You can no longer just ask, ask, ask, ask, ask. You can't just spam people trying to get them to record at your studio. This does not work. My wife got a spammer on Instagram trying to get her to join her fitness class or something like that, and kept bugging her and following up, even though she never asked for this. And it was super intrusive, and it really put a bad taste in her mouth, and she didn't even know this girl. And so I can guarantee you, not only will she never work with this fitness girl, she will definitely never refer people to her, and if she ever hears of someone potentially working with that girl, she will dissuade them from working with that girl because she has such a bad taste in her mouth from this.
