What's up, guys? Derek, moreplatesmoredates.com. Today we are checking out this rock situation. He is being called a pebble now. People are shocked. The world is in outrage because he has lost his muscle. This is what people are saying. But let's be honest, he's still yoked. It is not as big of a melt as people might be suggesting because people don't understand what a baggy Hawaiian shirt is, apparently.
However, like you take anybody with a sick physique and you put him in a baggy Hawaiian shirt and you're going to fuck him up in pics, for sure. Like he's not going to look great. It's just how it is. However, he has absolutely lost a lot of size at the same time. And it doesn't help that he just had a role and he's like out there promoting a role where he happens to be playing the most jacked character he's ever played, essentially short of like the Pain and Gain role, which was over 10 years ago now, and he is in his fifties. So on an art like a proportional perspective, this is like the most jacked relative to like risk to reward profile role he's ever had. And he's had the most significant decrease in size precipitously thereafter, whereas typically he kind of like maintains a semblance of what he was in the role. If he played somebody who is a little bit more jacked than what he normally walks around at. But now he's showing up to this premiere or the promotion of it and looking not just like typical, which is like smaller than what he would in the movie, because that's not unusual for him to like cycle up and kind of gain a bit of mass and then kind of like deflate a bit. But he actually looks more gaunt in the face than probably ever before. Like this is him at peak. This is what a lot of people know him as. And you know, to a fault, because this is what people will compare him to, unfortunately, which is not a sustainable, you know, physique whatsoever. And this is what he got to in this role recently, which is arguably like striking distance of his best, if not his best. And then here he is at the, you know, event in what was a, probably a poor strategic choice, if he cared about people judging, you know, the physique and how much weight he's lost, or if he's trying to look slimmer, I don't know, but I would imagine it's probably not, given the fact that he's actually responding to comments in comments, comments being made in videos, critiquing his, his, you know, weight loss, essentially, which we'll get to shortly, where he actually responded to a guy who basically said he came off of cycle, and he's like, you don't know what you're talking about. And here he is at the event, looking slim, looking slender, and probably the leanest face we've seen in, I don't know, like, I can't remember a time when he looked this lean in the face since maybe his like 30s, you know, back when he actually was not the, the rock, as many know him as, he was just like a post, I suppose, transitioning out of wrestling, if he even was, but like trying to become like a serious actor, but not yet at his transition point to like action star Juicy Juice Rock, he was just like rock rock, whatever the fuck he would call him, but you get the point. And then this is the one people are freaking out about too, it's like really lean, Bautista-esque transformation at this point. Fortunately, he didn't go dripped out in the Gucci like Bautista, didn't look as feminine and like, you know, accentuating his slenderness to the same degree, but it's kind of in the same vein. Here he is, and man, just looking water depleted, lean, death face-esque, fucking grim reaper, scyther, fucking ready to go buddy. This guy is, looks like he should be stage ready if his face was an indication relative to, you know, what his face has been in previous years, which is housey. Like this was him, you know, not long ago, with a lot of mass in the face, and you show up to an event looking like this, we would assume you are like negative 10% body fat at this point. It's pretty lean. So he, it's probably lost, I don't know, 50 pounds. This is what a lot of people are saying. I don't know if it's that much personally, but it's definitely a lot. Like the role he played, he was achieving, you know, the representation of a MMA legend who was known for being a sauce fiend, and pre-like juice regulation, and also a guy who's a genetic freak for muscle building and being jacked, probably one of the juiciest guys ever in the sport. And that guy, I, the craziest shit about it is the Rock is doing it in his 50s, playing a guy, well, by the way, like he is representing the role, like a spitting image, of a guy in his 20s who is a phenom on gear, and then the guy who's that guy he's playing is actually nearly the same age as the Rock, I believe, in real life, which is like the weirdest contrast ever. You have a guy who's nearly the same age playing you when you're younger juiced, and the guy is in his 50s cranking his face off to get there and doing a good job at it. Like this is one of the best physiques he's had to date, probably, or at least the juiciest. You could argue the subjective assessment of if it's the best is obviously highly individual dependent. But anyway, a lot of people are freaking out because this guy's so slender now. They're like, what happened? This guy lost it all. And is everything okay? Because it looks, it's a pretty dramatic shift, given he's literally promoting the movie as if it's something, like a lot of people don't realize the production was filmed. I guess this is the production schedule back in, filming dates were May 21st, 2024 to August 1st, 2024 So, you know, the most, I guess, recent, he would have been mid having to look like this is over a year ago at this point. So it's been a minute. Like, you're not gonna be sustaining that look past filming dates regardless. And even if there was no, you know, like health concerns or anything that would have forced you to, you know, like even guys who compete on stage at, you know, bodybuilding shows, they're not gonna look like they do on stage even weeks after. And they certainly haven't, you know, like lost at all. It's just a process of peaking for this role to look a certain way. And then even if you're still, you know, juiced out of your gourd, there's gonna be a deflation where you're not, you know, peaked. You're not on camera in the prime condition. You're also just not taking what you need to be to support it maximally. But you could still easily be juicing your face off, just proportionally less or so. And not eating, like, you can imagine this guy just naturally is gonna need a break, too, even if he's still juicing thereafter. And just by nature of taking a break, which presumably he's doing to some extent, you're gonna lose a fair bit. But this is like the territory of face mass loss is almost representative of a guy who kind of like went natty, is what a lot of people in the fitness community even are kind of perceiving, because it's unusual to see him get that water depleted looking, too, if we've ever even seen it. Like the last we saw him look like that is probably, and obviously his age is playing a factor, too, coupled with the fact that he's that much leaner. So it's exaggerating it to an even more great magnitude. But this was him. I think a lot of people don't realize that he actually used to look like this when he was younger. He's actually still more jack now than he was back then, which just goes to show that he definitely hasn't like gone off, in my opinion, or whatever you want to call it, because who knows for sure what's going on. But this was him in his 20s, just a fluffy football player, essentially, who's transitioning into being a pro wrestler or being a good pro wrestler. And he's pretty pretty yoked here. But thereafter, he transitions into more full time acting, I think. And you kind of see it play out in the face. You see it here, the cheekbones, the carvy fucking jawline here. And just the appearance is not representative of anything in recent memory of him from his 40s upwards to his recent 50s. He played a guy in his early 30s roles that looked more just like a well-built, good genetic guy who's fit, but not a guy that's actually going out of his way to enhance, to look like the big meathead. Here he is, 32, 33, looking very lean, 35 Like these are, if somebody saw that, that plus like 18 years or whatever is essentially what you're seeing physically at this event, is like what I'm gathering. Like he looks more like a, what he actually is supposed to look like pre, like heavy rock juice era. So it's not unusual for people who don't know that he actually is supposed to look like that, but for people who know him to be, you know, the absolute behemoth that he often portrays himself to be on the big screen and shows on social media and his workouts and stuff, you can imagine where people are gathering some of the comments that you're seeing. He is devolving from the rock to the stone to the pebble or pebble. Watch This Space 2030 Trying to land Gandhi for his next film. I'm surprised that nobody is saying he's a clone. Maybe he realizes that being juiced up the whole time wasn't doing his liver, kidneys or heart any favors. Bro looks like a turtle without a shell now lol. He is nothing without his muscles. Jesus. He plays the same character in every single movie he does. Comma, comma, comma, comma. That's the only unique thing he brings to the table. He knows you can't survive being that big. He's a smart cat. He's going for preservation now. This, not at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Jeez, Tiffany. Fucking harsh, eh? When everyone is aging, there's some things our body limits us. We have to accept the changes. It's called baggy clothes. It's not rocket science. Juan. Got it figured out, buddy. So, I do think this was a pretty poor choice of wardrobe if he didn't want to exaggerate things. It looks like almost potentially like his suit hasn't been even, you know, tailored to his new low of body weight potentially. But the Hawaiian shirt, bro, like, you know, you're going to get lit up by people who don't understand body composition. When you're that lean and you're wearing a baggy shirt, like, prepare to be told that you don't work out anymore. Like, that is absolutely going to happen because people don't get it. It's shocking how many people don't get it, too. I guarantee you put this guy in the gym with some down lighting, get him a pump, and he looks like, people are like, oh, he's back on. He's back on, buddy. In reality, he's just still jacked. He's just much less jacked than he was, you know, playing Mark Kerr, who is an absolute house. Is he what he is typically in the off season? Probably not. And that's where you're seeing the face, which is unusual for him, like I said. But is it going to be the norm? I don't know. Like, for him, he's somebody who literally recently justified bulking up to play what is potentially one of the biggest roles he's ever played ever. And then, in his early 50s, you would imagine embarking on that when you are already like a billionaire, essentially, with, you know, infinite choices of things you could do with your life, and you have a family who relies on you. Like, are you going to pick the most risky role you could be doing when you aren't confident that your body can sustain it? Like, probably not. So I would imagine he's had some pretty in-depth diagnostics to evaluate that this was, you know, something he could tolerate or had a high likelihood of tolerating well. And that's what led him down this road, and I imagine if he did that, it won't be the last time you see him, you know, beef up a little bit for some role. Is it going to be to this degree? I don't know. It's, but there's a potential that this was such a good storyline as well for his, like, legacy as an actor that it just coincided with the fact that it further, like, justified to him why he should play the part extremely well, which does involve looking the part. So, you know, kudos to the commitment, I suppose, and he definitely nailed the look to be determined on the acting, which we will see, you know, shortly, I imagine. But yeah, you know, a lot of people are, the expected comments you see left, right, and center on social media, and this thing blew up insanely big because he is a prominent and outspoken, I suppose, well, he's not really a prominent fake natty, but he has essentially said flat out that he is, you know, doesn't take gear, or is, you know, I think the only admitting he did to anything was, you know, I took something when I was in my teens, and, you know, it was just like a random, like, prohormone or something, and then that was it. And essentially has dodged it for his entire career, if not outright, kind of said in a roundabout way that he doesn't do anything. That's where people kind of get on, because it's like, okay, bro, like, sure, this is all just, you know, natural, of course. Lost 60 pounds because he's off the juice. The internet did the same thing when Dave Bautista slimmed down to, it's annoying. I saw one tweet, the rock is going viral after losing so much weight that he's nearly unrecognizable. Come on now. Dude, he left out the most important thing. He stopped taking steroids. Not a normal 52 year old look. He slimmed down because he had a blockage in his heart. Jesus, all of the years of steroids caught up to him. In fact, he should come out and warm these kids of the dangers of steroids. He doesn't appear to be this height, 6'5. His earliest and lightest weight in WWE was 275 pounds and went up from there. Before and after juice, simple explanation.
