Hey, everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, day three of the Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing starting later this afternoon. They're getting a late start today.
And this afternoon, we are speaking with Jack Posobiec, a dear friend and colleague of Charlie's, who's been in court all this week, seeing everything firsthand. And he'll describe to us the dynamic inside that courtroom and how he thinks it's going. But I wanna begin with what we learned yesterday about the man accused of murdering Charlie, and that's Tyler Robinson, and the timeline that we're learning about now, detailing Robinson's time on campus at Utah Valley University, the day Charlie was killed, September 10th of last year. We saw pictures of the man prosecutors say is Robinson for the first time last year, as investigators desperately hunted him down. And yesterday in court, we got to see some of these surveillance videos alleged to be of Robinson as he moved about campus. It was the very first time we've seen them. We've seen some still shots from these videos leading up to yesterday, but we have never seen these videos. And there was a big fight in court because the prosecution has enhanced versions of the videos with zooms and circles, which would be very helpful, wouldn't they? Because these are surveillance videos, which, you know, by their nature, are not great. And circling where he is, even if you don't accept this as Tyler Robinson, circling where they're saying the perpetrator is would be quite helpful, but the defense objected, so we don't get to see that. We get to see the videos, but we don't get to see the prosecution's helpful zooms and circles. And here's the judge, Tony Graf, explaining why yesterday.

I don't find it's necessary to replay this video, given the representation, that's the exact same video, the difference being enhancements made.
If it was different in any way or if it added to or subtracted from, that would be one factor. But because it's simply the same video, simply zooming in with circles or notations, the court does not find that the interests of justice requires it being played again. But it is received into evidence and will be reviewed by myself in determining a probable cause determination.

And I appreciate that, Judge, and just so we're clear, state's exhibit 12.1 has been admitted.

It is received into evidence, yes.

Well, Utah law enforcement isn't the only group of folks who know how to enhance video, so we did it ourselves for you. And we're going to walk you through what the video showed yesterday so you can see the man alleged to be Robinson more clearly and see the prosecution's case laid out.
Here's Sergeant David Hull, who was with the Utah State Bureau of Investigation at the time of the murder, explaining the video they say is Robinson arriving on the campus to the prosecutor who was questioning him, David Sturgill. This is a little less than four hours before the shooting took place. Watch.
