Do the Cowboys have any chance at correcting this season, at correcting what cost them last night? They lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the formerly windless Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Dallas last night, 24 to 16 And I'm going to say something people have been saying for years. And so I'm sorry for not being original, but it really did hit home with me last night, that as long as Jerry Jones is the largest voice, the most accountable voice in the Cowboys organization, what he's really doing is taking pressure off of Brian Schottenheimer, his head coach. He's taking pressure off of Dak Prescott, his $60 million quarterback. He's taking pressure off the 11 men on that trash defense that the Cowboys have. He's taking pressure off of Christian Parker, their defensive excellence instructor, their defensive coordinator, DEI, defensive coordinator. He's taking all the pressure off of them and putting all the pressure on himself.

I get that pressure bust pipes, but when you're paying people millions of dollars, your quarterback $60 million, your head coach $8 to $15 million, whatever it is, your defensive players millions upon millions of dollars, as long as you're taking pressure off the people, you're paying millions and millions of dollars. Don't be surprised when they show up on a Thursday night and lay an egg against a windless Tampa Bay team with an free agent quarterback named Jaylen Daniels, the Kansas quarterback who I liked at Kansas. But when you're playing the windless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and they're playing an undrafted free agent plane, an undrafted free agent quarterback, and they beat you 24 to 16

Jerry, you need to realize, you're not putting pressure on the right people. You're putting pressure on yourself. Who does that? You're hustling backwards. You're putting all the pressure on you. I read the story last night that ESPN published after this game, and they're quoting you before they ever quote the head coach. You're hustling backwards.

I'm not paying anybody millions of dollars, but you know what I'm doing? I'm putting pressure on the people that I'm paying.

You wanting to be accountable, the buck stops here. Come talk to me. No, the pressure needs to be on Brian Schottenheimer. And you need to be questioning him right now. Brian, why did you go for two points?

You need to be putting pressure on Brian Schottenheimer. You need to be putting pressure on the ridiculous defensive coordinator that Brian Schottenheimer hired.

I'm just, if someone isn't, hire someone that's willing to tell these black coaches that the NFL, the league puts pressure on you guys to hire and put them in these coordinator jobs, do right by these guys and say, hey look, we don't want you to be relatable to the players. We want you to set a standard for the players. So, earrings and Versace glasses during the game, we're not for that. Some, this Christian Parker is not running around with these big gold chains like a lot of these guys, but I'd be telling all the black coaches, if I was their leader, if I was their owner, if I ran the team, if I wanted what was best for them, quit worrying about being relatable. If these players hate your guts, I'm good with it, but make sure they know their assignment and make sure that Tampa Bay can't come in here with a rookie free agent, undrafted quarterback, and just have him turn around and hand the ball to Bucky Irving and any other running back they want, and they pile up 250 rushing yards, or 241 rushing yards on you. Now, Jerry Jones is putting the pressure on the wrong people. He is the problem. And I've heard people talk about it for years, but I'd never, it was last night, I was like, you know what? I gotta admit, they're right.
