Best thing that's ever happened to you financially, go.

Easy, sold my car on Carvana, amazing offer. Really?

Tom Bilyeu (0:06)

I hit 200 on a scratcher.

SPEAKER_3 (0:08)

Did the scratcher come to your house and hand you a check?

Tom Bilyeu (0:10)

No.

SPEAKER_3 (0:11)

How many scratchers did you hit to get that? I hit a button on carvana.com once.

Tom Bilyeu (0:15)

Okay, that's fair.

Tom Bilyeu (0:17)

It's like the lottery, except you always win. Not like the lottery at all, actually.

Tom Bilyeu (0:22)

Exactly, inexplicably good.

SPEAKER_3 (0:25)

Offer's worth bragging about. Sell your car today on Carvana. Pick up Visa and apply.

Let's talk about the moment your side hustle becomes a real business. Now, I see way too many founders stay stuck running their business like it's a hobby, and then they wonder why nothing ever feels real. It doesn't feel real because it's not. I've helped thousands of entrepreneurs build real businesses through Impact Theory University, and the first step in the path to building a legit business is registering it. And Tailor Brands will help you do just that in a few clicks.

An LLC, a Limited Liability Company, is an official business structure. It's inexpensive to form and very simple to maintain. It's how you open a business bank account. It's how customers know they're dealing with a real company. And Tailor Brands doesn't stop at the filing. Their dashboard tracks what comes next based on what your business actually needs. So EIN number, registered agent, licenses and permits, bookkeeping, business banking.

I tell every founder the same thing. Just make it official. Click the link in the show notes to check out Tailor Brands and get started on your business today. This is a paid advertisement. Something very weird is going on behind the scenes in AI right now.

Suddenly everyone seems to think that AI is going to kill us and that the government needs to step in. Now that in and of itself isn't that weird. People have been saying for a while that there's a non-zero chance AI kills everyone. But what's happening now is weird. It's different. It doesn't feel like a wave of people waking up to the seriousness of the problem. There's a sudden sharpening of everyone's attention that feels like a product launch. What kind of product? Fear.

Fear as proof that AI is powerful enough to destroy us all and therefore warrants the $2 trillion IPO that Anthropic is about to do. By the way, that number is so staggering, it would make it one of the largest companies in all of human history. It's that kind of very important product launch. And that's why our focus is being intentionally pointed at something. So far, that's just my gut feeling. And I don't think feelings are particularly useful in getting to ground truth. So what we're actually going to cover today is what I've learned by spending the last several days looking at all of the evidence that's coming in on this strange new phenomenon that points to this actually being an intentional and coordinated spreading of fear about AI designed to reach a very specific outcome. And let me tell you, what I found is absolutely shocking. Now in full disclosure, you should take what follows as the early days of a forming hypothesis. But there really is a lot of connective tissue here and ignoring it I think would be a huge mistake. When you put it all together, it begs one simple question. Is AI the Antichrist that people fear it is? Or is what's going on right now something far scarier? Namely, that we humans are the problem. Let's answer that by digging into the red flags that actually sent me down this rabbit hole in the first place.

Red flag number one that started making me feel really weird was that a 27-year-old researcher that nobody had ever heard of quit his job at Anthropic and then posts a seven-part thread saying the people building AI believe it could kill us all by the end of the decade. Now, on its own, that's fine. But he went hyper viral. And his account had a two-word bio and almost no post history. And despite that, by morning, the thread had 76 million views. By the next day, it had over 100 million views. Those kinds of numbers demand an explanation. Elon Musk himself had said he'd never seen anything like that from a new account. So if it seems sus to you, it is. But we're gonna get to why in a minute. All right, red flag number two.

A few days after Cox's Dumer Post went suspiciously viral, the CEO of Anthropic, Dario Amadei, said the most bizarre thing in the history of capitalism.
