Okay, our friends.

So today, we are reading another story from our trip to Walt Disney World, which is in Orlando, Florida. And we got a book there that we thought we'd share with you.

**Philip** (0:16)
You picked it out right, you saw it, and said, let's get this one.

**Philip** (0:20)
So today's story is called.

**Philip** (0:23)
Funny story just for me.

**Philip** (0:24)
Mm-hmm, okay.

**Philip** (0:26)
How I found the story is like, I know we like reading little golden books.

**Philip** (0:32)
We do.

**Philip** (0:32)
And I met this lady, and she was holding like three of them.
Oh. That were Disney themed. And I was like, oh, pardon, where'd you get those? And she was like, she pointed me over there, and she says, oh, over there, why do you ask? And I was like, well, my mom and I have a podcast, and we are going to read more little golden books on it. And she was like, oh, fun! And I went over to grab them, my mom chatted her up, and yeah, good time. So, yeah.

And they were going to have a baby, too.

**Philip** (1:00)
Uh-huh, I think, yeah.

**Philip** (1:01)
Yeah. So we told them, hey, when your baby's old enough, you'll have to give us a listen.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:08)
So let's read the story. Today's story is a little golden book, and it's called Disney, The Orange Bird.

**Philip** (1:13)
I love Orange Bird.

**Philip** (1:14)
Me too.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:15)
And the story was written by Jason Grant and Scott Tillney with a special thanks to Nick Ballion, and it's designed by Winnie Ho.

**Philip** (1:25)
And we read by Mommy and Philip in the house.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:35)
So when we open the book, we see a lovely bright sunny orange, and it says, Welcome to Florida. And it says, Florida is the home of beautiful beaches, space-age rocket ships, and the sunshine tree. What's the sunshine tree? It's an orange tree, unlike any other, not just because its oranges are the tastiest, but because it is the home of our new friend, the orange bird.
And we can see the orange bird in the picture.

**Philip** (2:11)
Its head is an orange.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:14)
Its wings are leaves. It's the cutest thing.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:17)
Wouldn't you agree?

**Philip** (2:19)
Yeah.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:21)
Who is the orange bird?

**Philip** (2:23)
A farmer once asked that question, too.

**Philip** (2:26)
I've never seen a bird like you before, said the farmer.

**Philip** (2:31)
And he had all kinds of birds on his farm.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:34)
And we can see some ducks or a duck and chickens. We can see that he's got birds.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:41)
The orange bird had leaves for wings and an orange for a head.
But what really made him different was the fact that he couldn't sing, chirp, or whistle. Instead, the orange bird made pictures above his head in an orange cloud, like magic.

**Philip** (3:02)
The farmer's other birds couldn't make pictures over their heads.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:07)
They couldn't even draw pictures. Luckily, the orange bird could teach them.
And we can see an owl and maybe a cardinal and some chickens.

**Philip** (3:19)
And they're trying to draw.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:21)
They are unsuccessful.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:24)
Every day, the bird helped the farmer.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:27)
They checked all his oranges to see if they were round, plump, juicy, and perfect for picking.
When the birds were done, the farmer loaded his truck, put his cat, Clementine, in the house. And then he took his oranges to the market. And what color is his cat? Orange. And its name is Clementine. Do you get it?

**Philip** (3:53)
Yeah.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:55)
Once the birds' work was finished, it was playtime.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:59)
Swimming in the pond, riding goats, eating citrus swirls.

**Philip** (4:08)
And in the picture, we can see they've got a dole whip.

**Philip** (4:12)
Yum-er.

**Lisa Bueno** (4:15)
While the birds had fun outside, Clementine sat inside the house and watched.

**Philip** (4:22)
She didn't want to play with the birds.

**Philip** (4:25)
She wanted to catch them.

**Lisa Bueno** (4:27)
One day, Clementine got her chance. The farmer had left a window open.
Clementine leapt for a bird. With her paws and claws outstretched, she managed to nab it mid flight. The bird squawked for help, but the other birds were scared of Clementine.

**Philip** (4:50)
She was big, strong and mean.

**Philip** (4:54)
The Orange Bird knew he had to do something.

**Philip** (4:59)
