I'm John Potts, and this is the show that talks about things in the Bible the world doesn't want you to know.

John, we're going to get into something the world really doesn't want us to know about sometimes these names in the Bible that are very unfamiliar pop up from time to time. The name Amalek, had you ever heard of that before?

John Potts (1:53)

You know, I have, because I've done a little studying, and I've learned a lot on Bible Mysteries, and I've read the book of Samuel, so I've seen this figure pop up. But one thing I didn't realize, and I guess I'm going to learn today, is I thought it was just a figure in the Bible. It sounds like it's a whole family, a lineage, right? A country, maybe even. I'm going to learn more.

Scott Mitchell (2:15)

We are going to learn more, and we're going to find out that it came up in a speech that a political figure made, which I was surprised they made the reference to that. And then I thought, well, let's go investigate what that is, and let's see if what they're claiming about it is actually true. The application they make of the name is actually a fitting application. So we're going to get into that shortly, but before we do that, we have new seekers for you to welcome.

Yeah, this is a really interesting testimonial, and it comes to us from Beth R. And Beth says, I am drawn to Bible Mysteries because it addresses every aspect of living in this world. When I first heard an episode that addressed the subject of UFOs and the spiritual realm, I was cautiously optimistic. The more I listened and the thoroughness with which Scott measured everything with scripture made me realize what a gift Bible Mysteries is. Jesus is always front and center. I'm very grateful for your ministry. I think that that's a great testimony.

It is eye-opening that there are UFOs that are spoken of in the Bible. That there are very unique creatures described in different books in the Bible. There are extraterrestrial beings. Some of them are called angels that are in the Bible. So people just need to open their minds a little bit. And I think Beth does a great job of saying that. It's easy to get that version of the Bible, which is just so watered down, right? But there's so much inside there, and it really boils down to open it up and read it. It's a whole world inside here.

It really is. And Beth, I appreciate your testimony a lot. And one of the things that I took away from it was something that I'm grateful to see that she picked up on, because it's what we strive to do here at Bible Mysteries, which is to measure everything with scripture the way she said it. There's a lot of shows out there, and some of them are really, really good. So this is not meant in any way, shape, or form to be a criticism. But one of the ways that we want to be separate and distinct is that when we speculate, we're going to say so, and we do it a lot. But we're always going to try to bring it back to the scriptures as much as possible in every way, shape, and form. So we hope that that helps us stand out and is even more of a blessing to those of you guys that listen. So thank you, Beth. We appreciate you pointing that out, because that's exactly what we're trying to do.
