By one o'clock, it's 91 degrees and feeling hotter. The search team is dripping with sweat. The sergeants call off the search along Glover Road. The recruits climb onto a bus and ride to another part of the park.
Ten months from now, Chandra Levy will be found on this very hillside. On ground, this search never reached.
