So today we are reading a weekend story because it is close to the week, well, it is a weekend. We are right now. So we're going to read you a story called The Lost Sunday by Ileana Sardukin and read today by Mommy and Philip.

Philip, are you ready?

**Lisa Bueno** (0:56)
Once upon a time, there was a girl who lived in a dusty, crowded town where there was no Sunday.

**SPEAKER_6** (1:07)
Can you imagine?

**Lisa Bueno** (1:09)
And to tell you the truth, without Sunday, the other days aren't so great, she says to us, as she is doing her chores, climbing up and down and sweeping and such.

**SPEAKER_7** (1:23)
Monday is like a savage, engulfing, plant wolf.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:32)
She imagines it.

**SPEAKER_8** (1:34)
On Sunday, I help Ma Selena clean the green garden, which is overrun with weeds and buckthorns. But despite our efforts, the flowers don't grow and the fruits are never ripe.

**Lisa Bueno** (1:48)
That's a shame, and it does look like a lot of work.
Tuesday is like a wear clock wearing us down with its incessant ticking. Oh my, in the picture we can see, it is like a clock tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, right?

**SPEAKER_8** (2:06)
On Tuesday, I work in the shop of Uncle Martin, the clockmaker. He has so much to do that his past selves have to help out. My job is to wind the clocks and refill the hourglasses, but whatever we do, they still show the wrong time.
Oh my.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:28)
Also different times.

**SPEAKER_6** (2:30)
Yeah, we've got time all over the place, all out of whack, and all the different times are showing, and that's probably why he has a little baby version of himself, and an old man version of himself in there working too.

**Lisa Bueno** (2:42)
Wednesday is a smoking ash wolf swallowing us whole.

**SPEAKER_8** (2:49)
On Wednesday, I have to cook for the whole town with Chef Woden, but everything comes out either too sweet, too salty, or just burnt.

**SPEAKER_6** (3:02)
That's very disappointing. Seems like the food wouldn't be good at all, right?

**Lisa Bueno** (3:08)
Thursday arrives like a mini-headed radio wolf, confusing us to no end.

**SPEAKER_8** (3:16)
On Thursday, I go to the lab to help Professor Julien with her ambitious prototype. We test many ideas to find the best one, but there's always something wrong, and every solution gives birth to ten new problems.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:31)
This looks like a science lab, right?

**SPEAKER_6** (3:34)
With a lot of experiments going on.

**SPEAKER_7** (3:38)
Friday, the tremble wolf shakes the daylight out of us.

**SPEAKER_8** (3:43)
On Friday, I fix the houses with Master Peter, and while things look good for a bit, somehow, everything keeps crumbling to pieces.

**Lisa Bueno** (3:54)
She says, oh my, they're building their house on top of a giant wolf, right? That's causing it to have trembles, like a crocodile, yeah. It looks like an earthquake is happening every time the thing moves, though.

**SPEAKER_7** (4:12)
Saturday, the huge memo wolf brings regrets and sad memories. Oh dear.

**SPEAKER_8** (4:20)
On Saturday, with Lady Artemis, we have to separate the lost and forgotten things from the throwaways, rescuing anything that still has value and burning the rest. But no matter how much we work, the enormous task is never done.

**SPEAKER_7** (4:37)
Oh my.

**SPEAKER_4** (4:38)
This doesn't seem fun at all, does it?

**SPEAKER_10** (4:43)
And then on Sunday, well, like I said, there is no Sunday.

**SPEAKER_8** (4:48)
We start again from Monday, and the circle of wolves never stops.
But if there was a Sunday, I would put on my best clothes and eat delicious things, especially ice cream. I'd take a break and another, and most importantly, I would do absolutely nothing.

**SPEAKER_10** (5:13)
But in reality, there's always some unfinished chore.

**SPEAKER_8** (5:20)
All of this because of that cursed witch who lives in the bottomless pit. They say she stole our Sunday and keeps it locked away. She has a heart of ice and can freeze you with a single glance. They call her Frau Cole, and nobody dares to set foot on her frozen lands where she lives surrounded by stolen treasures.
