My name is Charlie Kirk.

I run the largest pro-American student organization in the country fighting for the future of our republic.
My call is to fight evil and to proclaim truth. If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable. But if the most important thing is doing good, you will end up purposeful. College is a scam, everybody. You got to stop sending your kids to college. You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible. Go start a Turning Point USA college chapter. Go start a Turning Point USA high school chapter. Go find out how your church can get involved. Sign up and become an activist. I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade. Most important decision I ever made in my life, and I encourage you to do the same. Here I am, Lord, use me.
Buckle up, everybody.

All right. Welcome, everybody. It's August 18th, 2026 We're here at the Y refi studios in Phoenix, Arizona. It's great to be with all of you. Had a busy, busy morning and excited to get into the news here. Blake, how are we doing?
**Blake** (1:29)
We're doing good. We're doing good. Yeah, even though the world seems insane.
**Andrew Colvett** (1:33)
Right. So in this center, that is the lead today that the world feels upside down in so many different ways. And we're going to get into it in this first hour in multiple different different vantage points.
What we're seeing with the Lindsay Clancy story is probably exhibit A. We talked about that yesterday. Of course, Lindsay Clancy is the woman that is not even accused. She's admitted that she strangled her three children. And yet the Internet is awash with people defending her, sympathizing with her, raising money for her. It's about at a million bucks now on this GoFundMe, which is just a whole other story. But there is another example that is coming out from the UK.
**Blake** (2:17)
And it's something we talked about briefly last week. We wanted to talk about it more. We had Chris Rufo on and we asked him a bit. And it was the case of Cambridge professor Jason Arday. And so Arday was an education professor who started to get a lot of attention late July.
A blogger, Nathan Kofnuss, wrote an article on Substek that basically said this guy is a celebrity professor. He was the youngest full Cambridge professor in the school's thousand year history. And he said this guy is a plagiarist. He is a fabulist and the school is protecting him. And this could have been a pretty quiet scandal, I think, except a ton of academics came out, signed a big letter saying any attacks on Professor Arday are racist and bad and you guys should all shut up. And that got more attention. The press started to write more about it. And they discovered everything about this guy's life was a fraud. He had all of these spectacular claims. He basically had Munchausen syndrome, if you're familiar with that, where you fake illnesses. So he was saying, he was said he wasn't able to, he was nonverbal until he was a teenager that he couldn't read or write until he was 18, but then got a PhD. He said that he had an accident and had locked in syndrome where he was totally paralyzed except for his eyes for six months. All of these spectacular claims that could be verified.
Finally, the heat got too much and he resigned his professorship, but then this took a very dark turn on Friday last week because he was found dead. It's very likely that he killed himself. And that is a huge tragedy, but where this has taken a dark turn, especially because it is the UK, is thousands of people are rallying out in public, you can show that B-roll, and signing petitions and saying, the media lynched this professor out of racism because he was black, that we need to have controls on the press. And like, let's be clear, it is sad this young man, well, actually I say young man, he's older than me. It's sad this man killed himself. He should not have done that.
But nevertheless, you don't have the right to lie. This man was a fraudulent academic. We have accounts from the students at the school that he was a terrible professor because he couldn't teach them anything, and if he faced any pushback, he would accuse them of racism. He would threaten to call the police on reporters who investigated him. This was a guy who should not have had his job. But now, because he has, frankly, in a narcissistic way, once he was exposed, he ended his life.
