Swalwell, well, his travels have not ended. It's a pretty high bar to have to leave your congressional seat these days. You gotta do some really kind of salacious stuff.
Well, he has. Eric Swalwell confessed to a drug-fueled sex romp with suspected Chinese spy, Fang Fang.

**Comfortably Smug** (0:20)
This guy wanted to bang old Fang Fang so badly, he was fighting against the ambient to stay up and do it.

**Michael Duncan** (0:28)
That sounds like someone you want on the Intel committee.

**Josh Holmes** (0:30)
100%.

**Michael Duncan** (0:30)
Extremely responsible individual.

**John Ashbrook** (0:32)
It wasn't him, it was the drugs.
It wasn't the drugs, it was the prescription drugs. It was what some doctor wrote him a prescription and therefore he had no other choice but to bang a Chinese spy.

America has a powerful advantage, abundant oil and natural gas right here at home. But energy security requires more than energy in the ground.
It requires sustained production, resilient supply chains, and importantly, modern infrastructure like pipelines that move energy to the places it's needed, to families, businesses, and communities. Energy security is not just about what we produce. It's about whether we can deliver it safely, reliably, and efficiently when people need it most. That's how America protects consumers, supports our economy, and leads from a position of energy strength. Learn more at energysecurityframework.org, paid for by the American Petroleum Institute.

Fun Time Friday.

**Josh Holmes** (2:42)
Welcome back to the Ruthless Friday program. I'm Josh Holmes along with Comfortably Smug, Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook, left to right across your radio dial. As we mentioned in yesterday's episode, there's a number of things that would have left on the cutting room floor that, well, some of them are sexual in nature. I just want to give a fair warning. We are a family program.

**Michael Duncan** (3:02)
That's right. But you can, if you're going to cover the news, even if it's full-time Friday, you have to cover the news.

**Comfortably Smug** (3:09)
We report, you decide.

**Michael Duncan** (3:11)
There you go.

**Josh Holmes** (3:11)
That's exactly right, Michael. And what we aim to do is provide some level of detail. And one story in particular that we'll lead with, that we've covered for several years now, Swalwell. Well, his travels have not ended with the sabotaging of his congressional and gubernatorial bid.
You'll recall all of that became problematic when it was revealed that he had a number of mistresses, some of which made horrific allegations about him. And that all became public in the context of a campaign in California, where like charges potentially, at least being investigated against the guy he had to drop out of the race. He dropped out of Congress. I mean, look, it's a pretty high bar to have to leave your Congressional seat these days. You got to do some really kind of salacious stuff. Well, he has. But one of the things that we started early on in the program laughing about was the tale of Fang Fang, the Chinese spy.
And it was revealed years ago that he had a relationship with this Chinese spy, Fang Fang. And it was alleged at the time that it was sexual in nature, or at least, you know, highly intimate in nature. And he didn't really say much about it other than he'd met her. But then, you know, of course the media and everybody else were like, oh, moving on.

**John Ashbrook** (4:46)
Right under the rug.

**Josh Holmes** (4:47)
You know, and like McCarthy at the time, when he was speaker, made the decision to take him off the Intelligence Committee because he had classified briefings about what Swalwell was up to with Fang Fang. None of it which was public was all classified.
