And Stassi is a three time New York Times bestselling author and one of reality televisions defining personalities. We all know that. If you're listening and nodding your head right now, you know Stassi from her era defining run on Bravo's Vanderpump Rules. And more recently as a special VIP guest at Vanderpump Villa on Hulu and from the reunion she hosted for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

All of that and she's a host of Stassi with Te podcast and she has nearly four million fans following her every move as a mom of two on social media. And this week Stassi returns to our screens. Thank God. And it's her ninth unscripted TV series. It's called The House of Stassi.

It's on Hulu and Freeform and it's officially described as, and I quote, Stassi stepping back into the spotlight to redefine her place in pop culture, but staying on top means confronting the ghosts of her past in a chaotic inner circle with a talent for disrupting her life. And in short, Stassi is the captain now.

But you spent like more of your time probably on camera than not.

I'm not joking because I started when I was 16 on Amazing Race. So like I'm about to be 38 That's 22 years.

Bo Clark (3:19)

Yes. That's insane. Yes.

So more time spent on camera than off.

Yeah. Unbelievable. So what was the internal conversation getting back into reality television? Because you took a bit of a break, right?

Stassi Schroeder Clark (3:32)

Listen, my own show was always the goal.

Carlene Higgins (3:36)

Yeah.

Stassi Schroeder Clark (3:36)

Even like when Vanderpump rules fell in my lap, which like it did. I was working at Sir Restaurant and that fell in my lap.

And it was never going to end there for me. Like I have a lot of ambition and dreams and this was always something that I was like, I want to accomplish this one day. This time around, it was just finding the right people to work with and that's what we did. And it's been so f***ing cool.

Bo Clark (4:06)

Yeah.

Carlene Higgins (4:06)

It sounds like you got bit by the bug. Like the reality bug?

Bo Clark (4:09)

Yeah, exactly.

Stassi Schroeder Clark (4:10)

I was bit when I was 16 So it's like, I blame my dad. He put me on that show and like then it's like, he started my destiny. And, you know, once I realized that, you know, not everyone, I guess, can be good at reality TV. A lot of people are really aware of the cameras. Yeah. I have never been aware of them. Like, I can't ever remember a time where I overthought it or I was just, I don't know. It just feels so natural for me to just be myself and do my thing. And then like, spiral after. I don't like trust because I do spiral. I like spiral once like a season is wrapped and I'm like, what have I done? Right.
