SPEAKER_2 (0:10)
So there is no theme.
Joel Duscher (0:11)
It was this or a break? Timber.
SPEAKER_2 (0:14)
You're listening to Thumb Cramps, a show for those whose thumbs are cramping.
Joel Duscher (0:24)
What's up, gamers? And welcome to this week's episode of Thumb Cramps. It's a video game podcast for everyone whose thumbs are cramping. I'm Joel and I'm freshly back from the UK. That's right. The U-U-U-K. I can't talk. I'm so jet lagged. I got back less than 24 hours ago and I've slept for nine hours in four days.
The person who's not joining me this week is Jackson, who is still in the UK. I'm pretty sure we announced that this was happening at the start of the month, but I can't remember. My brain's not working. But instead of Jackson, I'm joined by not one but two wonderful co-hosts. It's Ruby Innes and Chloe Appleby.
Hello.
Ruby Innes (1:03)
Hello. I don't know if it came through in the call, but it definitely came through in my recording. I did a big burp.
Joel Duscher (1:10)
That's awesome.
Ruby Innes (1:11)
In the middle of your intro.
Chloe Appleby (1:14)
Ruby, I heard it and it was beautiful.
Ruby Innes (1:16)
Thank you.
Chloe Appleby (1:16)
Thank you.
Joel Duscher (1:18)
I had my eyes closed because I was in the moment and wow, I finally looked at myself. I look tired.
Ruby Innes (1:24)
You look beautiful. Your skin looks great and beautiful.
Chloe Appleby (1:27)
Thank you. You look beautiful.
Ruby Innes (1:29)
I'm beautiful for him.
Joel Duscher (1:30)
I'm going to make sure to leave that in the episode so everyone just gets an idea of what they could comment when they follow Thumb Cramps pod on Instagram.
Ruby Innes (1:38)
Everyone, when you comment on the Instagram post, I don't have the excuse of being jet-lagged. I just got my period today, thanks to Thumb Cramps.
Chloe Appleby (1:49)
I've been shitting all day. Congratulations.
SPEAKER_4 (1:51)
This is going to be a really good episode.
Ruby Innes (1:54)
We're all on three different levels of hyucked up.
SPEAKER_2 (1:58)
Good use of hyucked.
Ruby Innes (2:00)
Thank you. Thank you. I do love to say it. I'm a goofy head.
Joel Duscher (2:04)
Yeah.
Ruby Innes (2:08)
But what was I saying?
Chloe Appleby (2:09)
You can talk about how beautiful Joel was.
Ruby Innes (2:13)
When you get on the Instagram app on your phone or you go on the desktop Instagram website and you go to comment on the Thumb Cramps episode, this episode, you comment, you comment, Duscher is looking very beautiful today.
Joel Duscher (2:33)
I actually encourage you all to say that we all look beautiful today because we all need the validation.
Ruby Innes (2:37)
Oh yeah, bit of that.
Chloe Appleby (2:39)
No, I really want to see the comments. Wow, these are three beautiful hosts.
But Joel Duscher is the most beautiful of them all. And I am so excited to watch this podcast. Yeah, if I could kiss him on the mouth.
Joel Duscher (3:01)
Hey, so I'm going to be appearing as part of Games Leagues. And despite what Chloe just said, don't unprompt kiss me on the mouth. I understand I'm your gamer boyfriend.
Chloe Appleby (3:11)
No, not allowed. Don't do that. You can comment, but don't do it.
Joel Duscher (3:15)
Just check first. The answer will almost certainly be no. Unless I know you in real life, then hey, maybe it'll be yes.
Chloe Appleby (3:21)
Roll the dice.
Ruby Innes (3:22)
Yeah.
Joel Duscher (3:23)
But ask.
Ruby Innes (3:25)
But ask, yeah.
Chloe Appleby (3:26)
Consent.
Ruby Innes (3:27)
Consent is important.
Joel Duscher (3:30)
What are we doing? What are we saying?
Chloe Appleby (3:31)
Is that what you're about to say?
Ruby Innes (3:32)
Throughout that entire thing, Oliver got home and just, he didn't know I was recording.
SPEAKER_4 (3:39)
And he walked in and he just like at the door, just went, holy f***.
Joel Duscher (3:47)
Strike one to you and strike one to Oliver.
SPEAKER_4 (3:50)
So you'll have to bleep back.
Joel Duscher (3:53)
I'm going to leave it in if I hear it.
SPEAKER_4 (3:54)
I'll leave it in, leave it in.
Ruby Innes (3:57)
It might have been noise suppression.
The mic might have been doing its job. But funny as hell.
Chloe Appleby (4:02)
Is it because we're so beautiful and not because we look diabolically corpse-like on the screen?
Ruby Innes (4:09)
I'm really scared because I fly out to Bali tomorrow. Whoa.
