This is the Six Figure Home Studio Podcast, episode 89
The number one resource for running a profitable home recording studio. Welcome back to another episode of The Six Figure Home Studio Podcast, brought to you by sponsorship coming. Here it is. Are you ready for this, Chris? Here's a sponsorship.
Chris Graham (0:30)
This is crazy.
Brian Hood (0:31)
filepass.com.
Chris Graham (0:34)
Wait a minute. Is that our only sponsor today?
Brian Hood (0:37)
No.
Chris Graham (0:38)
We have two.
Also brought to you by bouncebutler.com. Wait a minute. Is this even legal? Can we sponsor?
Brian Hood (0:45)
We're doing it. It's our podcast. We can do what we want. So filepass.com is a sponsor for today's episode. And what is filepass.com?
Long story short, it's file sharing for recording studios. Just send your tracks to your clients. They can leave timestamp revisions directly on the file. They can stream high quality WAV files, and you can protect it all behind a paywall so they cannot download until they pay the remaining balance.
That's my pitch in pitch for filepass.com. Go request access at filepass.com today.
Chris Graham (1:15)
Amazing.
Brian Hood (1:16)
Chris, would you like to tell us about our other sponsor today, BounceButler?
Chris Graham (1:19)
BounceButler is an app. It is one app to rule the Dawes.
Brian Hood (1:24)
Isn't that the best slogan of all time? I'm so stoked for that.
Chris Graham (1:28)
So what BounceButler does, if you haven't already heard BounceButler, let's say you're like, I finished these 10 mixes on this album, and now I'm going to sit here and bounce them one at a time and wait four minutes in between each bounce instead of going to hang out with my family or significant other. BounceButler is an app where you tell it, hey, I've got sessions from five different Dawes. There's like, you know, whatever you want, 50 sessions, 100 sessions, and you press bounce, and then you leave.
And BounceButler manages your bouncing processes and texts or emails you when it's done.
Brian Hood (1:57)
Yeah. So next time I have to bounce like 30 stems, I'm just going to use this because it's nice.
Chris Graham (2:02)
Indeed. It feels weird to sponsor our own podcast.
Brian Hood (2:05)
I know. I love it. I don't even care. I'm going to sell out. I'm going to sell out for my own products.
So on to the podcast. I am your host, Brian Hood, and I'm here with my bald, beautiful, purple-shirted, amazing co-host, you, Chris, you, Jay, Graham. How are you doing today, buddy?
Chris Graham (2:23)
I'm fantastic. How are you?
Brian Hood (2:26)
I'm good, man. I feel like we'll get better at pitching, file pass, and bounce ball there in the future.
Chris Graham (2:30)
Yeah. Stay tuned for more improved sponsorship messages from the owners of said companies and said podcast.
Brian Hood (2:37)
Yeah. So if this is your first time listening to the podcast, this podcast is brought to you so that you can learn to be a better business owner.
Chris and I, we have side projects because we're entrepreneurs at heart. So Chris has a software product called Bounce Baller, and I have a software product called File Pass. And we still do audio for a living too. Mm-hmm.
Chris Graham (2:56)
Everyday.
Brian Hood (2:56)
What have you been up to lately, Chris?
Chris Graham (2:58)
Well, I've been working on Bounce Baller, been hanging out with the fam, my cats had fleas.
Brian Hood (3:04)
Oh, I thought you were going to say your cats died and I was going to celebrate and have a little party over here.
Chris Graham (3:09)
You jerk. No, they're great. They just had fleas. They got them at the vet. So it's been a little dramatic getting that all sorted.
Brian Hood (3:16)
Dogs rule, bro. Dogs rule.
Chris Graham (3:17)
But yeah, things have been really kind of interesting. I think I mentioned this in the podcast before, but thanks to your advice, I've switched the way Chris Graham Mastering runs around a little bit on the quote system. We've talked about that a lot in previous episodes. Three out of the past four months have been the best months I've ever had.
So it's been wild to be on a business podcast and learn about improving my own business.
Brian Hood (3:40)
So I think it was two big things you did. One of them was you put those logos on your website. That was like we did that at NAMM back in January.
Chris Graham (3:47)
That helped.
Brian Hood (3:48)
Yeah. And that was, did I say NAMM or NAMM? I said NAMM.
