upwork.com. Hey, everyone. Welcome to another snack size edition of our show How Success Happens. I'm Dan Bova, writer and editor at entrepreneur.com. Ladies and gentlemen, we have an emergency snack. But don't worry, it's a good emergency. Entrepreneur Magazine has an awesome live event coming up October 23rd. If you're in the New York area, I thought you would definitely want to know about it. It's called Overcoming Impossible. It's a day devoted to business problem-solving and making connections, and it has a ridiculous lineup of experts and speakers, including Gary Vaynerchuk, Robert Irvine, Megan Thee Stallion, and today's guest, a guy you entrepreneur heads are well familiar with, Jason Feifer, Editor-in-Chief of Entrepreneur Magazine and host of the Problem Solvers podcast. Welcome, Jason.

Jason Feifer (3:35)

Dan, it is great to be here. This feels like one of those Marvel crossover episodes, because you and I have been hosting podcasts for Entrepreneur for a long time, but I don't think we've been on either one of our podcasts.

Dan Bova (3:48)

I don't think we have, and I was going to say, it also feels a little weird because we may be on a work Zoom call in five minutes, but I've never welcomed you so openheartedly. But I want you to go-

Jason Feifer (4:01)

I expect formal welcomes now, whenever I'm about to speak in one of our regular meetings.

Dan Bova (4:08)

Message received.

Jason Feifer (4:09)

Okay.

Dan Bova (4:09)

So this event is pretty wild, and I have seen how you guys put it together. You really developed the bones of what this is going to be, and it is very different from a typical business event. So can you lay it out for everybody?

Jason Feifer (4:26)

Yeah. So I speak at and attend so many events, and I keep hearing the same thing from people, which is when I ask, what did you come for, and what was the most meaningful thing? People always say, you know, look, the speakers are great, and I'm excited to see whoever I'm excited to see. But really, I was here to meet other people. And I came with a specific problem that I had, and it's the reason why I showed up. And the thing that is going to matter most to them is, did I walk away feeling like I made some valuable new connections and some sense of what I'm going to do better tomorrow?

So, when we started to put this together, we had this incredible lineup to start. I mean, Megan Thee Stallion, she does not do business events. This is a special, special thing. And then we got Gary Vaynerchuk, who does do plenty of business events, but it's not easy to get that man's time, and he always will light up a room. And then Robert Irvine is just something really special. You and I have been friends with him for a while. And so we had these great, great, talented entrepreneurs and thinkers.
