So what are we going to do tonight? We do have, unfortunately, some devastating stories as usual. First, Iran might not want out of the war.
Okay, now we're in a world of trouble.
And then Trump is talking about attacking some of our allies. Because why not? While abandoning other allies, there's only one ally we are not allowed to abandon. Ally, okay, that's Israel, of course, as you know. Unfortunately, that leads to stories about torture coming out of the Israeli prison facilities and so-called medical facilities. And unfortunately, we have a case of potential torture by ICE right here at home. So plenty of devastating news, but we'll wade through it and get through it with you guys and try to get to the right answers. So how you been, Kaspar?

I'm good, I'm good, I'm back. Vacation is behind me, which is great, I mean, everyone loves that. Yeah. Everyone loves knowing their vacation is behind them.

I'm not sure that's true, okay, but you look like you're in full Bobby Jindal mode, tanned, rested, and ready to go.

No, that was literally Bobby Jindal's campaign slogan when he ran for president for a hot minute.

That's right, I totally forgot that he ran for president.

Because if you guys don't remember, he's Indian American, South Asian, right? And so his slogan was tanned, rested, and ready to go, brother, you're not tanned, you're Indian, okay?

So that was so hilariously embarrassing.

I love, by the way, I just, I don't know if this is okay to say, but I'm going to say it anyway. The Italians, they're on another level, they're my favorite people.

No, in terms of everything.
Literally in terms of everything, in terms of culture, in terms of country, in terms of their love for togetherness and family. I just love the Italians, even the mob stuff I love, why not?

Yeah, well, some things left to be desired in the mob front, but hey, I'm pro Mediterranean, so I'm down.

All right, but now that we started out fun, let's get to the usually disastrous news. So backlash is growing because the Trump administration is not only giving the cold shoulder to our sailors on the USS Abraham Lincoln and now more ships, but because it's gone on way too long and the situation there is unfortunately disastrous. So quick reminder what Trump said to our sailors who have been abroad, these aircraft carriers for unprecedented lengths is usual warmth and empathy, watch.

That ship is moving right now, well, very shortly, and it's being replaced with another very similar ship.

Wow, not nearly long enough. They need to suffer more, of course, for Israel. Ana's got the rest of the story.

This news really gives you a sense of how much our resources are being wasted when we spend a trillion to now $1.5 trillion on our military. It doesn't go to our soldiers, it doesn't make their lives better. It does go to private defense contractors, though. It does go toward fighting wars on behalf of Israel and foreign countries. But I want to just talk a little bit about the backlash that the Trump administration is now rightfully facing as a result of their denials in regard to the neglect that our service members have been experiencing aboard these carriers. Now, the wife of a service member was asked to react to what Trump said on Jake Tapper's show on CNN. And I think that her perspective here is incredibly important. So take a look at what she had to say, and then I'll give you some more info.

What was your reaction today to President Trump saying that in fact, he didn't think the USS Lincoln's deployment has been quote long enough.

My God, I don't think the man thinks before he talks. And I was really hoping that at some point there would be a redemption. So try to redeem yourself at least a little bit with everything that you do and everything that you say, and try to redeem yourself.
