All right, everyone, on today's episode of Nothing Major, it's Monday, we're back. We've got a confusing master series going on, but we're gonna hit the end of Montreal, Toronto, we're gonna hit some Cincinnati, and we're gonna talk everything that's going on in the tennis world, so let's get to the show.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:15)
Jack, John, Stevie and Sam, got close a few times, never won a slam, nothing major.

**Jack Sock** (0:21)
All right, everyone, welcome back. I got Sam Querrey, John Isner, the Suits at SIFT, Charlie Fox and his entire team. We're back on a Monday. We are going to talk Montreal, Toronto. It ended a couple of days ago, but with the way these Master Series ends, we have no idea that there's Thursday finals, there's Monday finals. We don't know what's going on anywhere, but before we get to it, Sam, anything going on the last couple of days that you have been in Sinse?
Anything new on the grounds there before we hit the Canadian Master Series?

**Sam Querrey** (0:50)
No, all's good on the grounds. Best tournament in the world by a long shot now. One tournament of the year last year. I mean, I just found out last night that in the locker room at Sinse, there's a barber for the men and on the women's side, you can get facials and manicures and pedicures, just whatever you want. No stone goes unturned at this place.

**Jack Sock** (1:08)
That's pretty amazing.

**Sam Querrey** (1:10)
It's fantasy land. I'm having the best time ever. My whole family's here. I never want to leave.

**John Isner** (1:15)
How's the Great Wolf Lodge?

**Sam Querrey** (1:17)
Yeah.

**Jack Sock** (1:17)
How many slides have you gone down?

**Sam Querrey** (1:19)
I've gone down a lot of slides. The Great Wolf Lodge is the best and worst place in the world. It's so disgusting, but it's also fantastic. It's Vegas for kids, right? It's like a vice.
There's sugar candy everywhere. Everyone's barefoot. People go from the waterpark to the room. They got no shirt on. Not the most physically fit clientele at the lodge itself, but the kids are having a great time. And I got one more night here.

**John Isner** (1:49)
How much bacteria is on those floors?

**Sam Querrey** (1:52)
A lot.

**John Isner** (1:53)
We finally got a room clean yesterday. One more question. Whenever I think of waterparks, especially indoor waterparks, I think of soggy band-aids, like just laying on the ground.

**Jack Sock** (2:02)
There's been a few band-aids.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:03)
There's been a few band-aids.

**Jack Sock** (2:06)
You know what I mean, right? Waterparks, like the kids' band-aids fall off.

**John Isner** (2:09)
That's all I think of.

**Jack Sock** (2:10)
Dude, I hadn't thought about that, but that's gross.

**Sam Querrey** (2:12)
It's been fun, though.

**Jack Sock** (2:13)
All right, well, enough about Sam and his Great Wolf Lodge. So we're back to Montreal. We finally had the end of it. But before we get to Ben Shelton just continuing his dominance in Canada, I'm going to go to John first here. Four semifinalists on the men's side in Montreal all have college ties. Pretty remarkable.
What was your thoughts on that? Just the state of college tennis. I know there's been a lot of debate talked about it, but four guys, you know, some obviously with some more experience than others, but pretty incredible that four guys all play college tennis in a master series was probably unthinkable during our tenure on tour, but now it's becoming possible and more of the norm.

**John Isner** (2:57)
Yeah. I mean, like when we played Stevie, it was like not very often did two guys make it to semifinals of a big tournament. Like it was just one. It was like, I mean, it was the top of my head, right? It was like me, you were like Kevin Anderson, right? I mean, I might be missing some people and I apologize.

**Jack Sock** (3:15)
There was like Somdev Devarman for a hot minute, but there was like four guys in the top hundred. That's about it.

**John Isner** (3:19)
Yeah, exactly. I don't know like semifinals, like big tournaments. So this is unheard of.
I mean, granted Hodar and Lerner, they didn't play for like a long time. He went to USC. He played college tennis matches.

**Sam Querrey** (3:32)
I know, we can't talk about them like they're college tennis.

**John Isner** (3:34)
Yes, we can. We absolutely can.

**Jack Sock** (3:36)
I said college tennis ties.

**John Isner** (3:38)
He did say ties.

**Sam Querrey** (3:39)
Exactly.

**John Isner** (3:40)
The point is, is that these players all thought that college tennis for one semester, one year, or three years was the best route for them to get ready for professional tennis.
