Welcome in What's Wright? with Nick Wright episode 499, which means Thursday's episode. The recap of the Super Bowl rematch and our week one NFL preview will be officially episode 500 This episode of What's Wright? with Nick Wright is presented to you by Boost Mobile. We also, as you guys learned last week, have a new prediction market sponsor, Polymarket. Some people have asked, is that in conjunction with LeBron doing a Polymarket sponsorship? That is just what I would call a happy accident.

But by the way, real quick, speaking of Polymarket and partnerships and such, as I mentioned to you guys last week, they are partnered with Splash Sports, who I've been partnered with for years thanks to my poker buddies, and the World's Biggest Survivor Contest with 21 million guaranteed is live right now on Splash Sports. And they even gave your buddy a little promo code for that, that I tweeted out for the Splash Sports Contest. So, if you guys don't know our schedule during football season, regular show Tuesday, regular show Thursday, and then Friday, our pick show, Damonza will give you his teaser, which last year was outstanding. Good to see you, Damonza. I will give you my five picks a week. And we will, you know, see how we will keep track all year long. We will have a, you know, win-loss record. We will incorporate the VIG. And we will see how we do at the end of the year. But we are officially here. Tomorrow, there is professional football being played. Thursday, there is professional football being played in Australia. The Rams are one of the two teams playing in that game. They still haven't left yet.

I was not interested in the Rams travel story. And then in the last 48 hours, I've become interested in it. If for no other reason than it is crazy to me that I'm now realizing they leave tonight. So we will discuss that and their plans for that when we preview that game. We will have a ton on the Super Bowl rematch here briefly. I also need to revisit some arguments I got in over the course of the week. So all of that is coming up on the show. Oh, also, by the way, I was on Simmons' podcast last night that dropped this morning. So if you guys want even more of my takes, we did a lot on Josh Allen and Patrick and the AFC this year. We then did a mailbag together where he did a bunch on Kawhi Leonard and then some other random various things. So all of that, you know, is if you want to check out Simmons' pod.

Also, obviously, if you're listening to this, if you're from Simmons' pod and you're like, hey, I heard Nick Wright on Simmons, let me check out his podcast, subscribe to it. It would help us out a ton. We are just shy of a quarter million on YouTube. So you can subscribe there and subscribe on iTunes and Spotify as well. But let's get right to it. Straight to voicemail brought to you by our friends at Boost Mobile, Roger Goodell, Extended Through 2030 He might butt up against Damonza, a billion dollars in career earnings, which puts that is a rarefied, rarefied group of human beings ever who have made, if he does do it, who has made a billion dollars, not through ownership or stock or equities in a business, but through a billion in salary is wild. No pro athlete ever has made 600 million in salary. Goodell, through what would be potentially a quarter century, running the NFL could really shatter all sports compensation records.

Pro Football Hall of Fame is revamping the rules a bit for the contributors and the coaches, and I was at the US Open on Saturday. I made a late mid-match wager against the American favorite when Sarandulo was 15 to 1, down two sets to nothing, because my sharp tennis eye saw that Fritz was yelling at his coach and pouting, and it seemed like emotionally he was on thin ice. And then Sarandulo, Francisco Sarandulo, where I was shouting, calling him, let's go Frankie, in a crowd full of people who were a little annoyed with me as I was rooting against the American at the US Open, saw him win three straight sets to win that match as me, Car, or me, Pony and Danny enjoyed the US Open quite a bit.

Also, by the way, reminder, you can send emails whatswrightmailbag.gmail.com.

We will at some point do mailbag episodes again, so we'll just keep those in the queue. Damonza, how are you doing?

Damonza (5:18)

I'm doing pretty good. Doing pretty good. Taking Mila today for her first doctor's appointment, just me and her. I'm so excited for that.
