Hammer and Nigel.

**Nigel** (0:01)
Can you believe these characters?

**Hammer** (0:02)
They're weird of us.
Let's rock it, ladies and gentlemen, Hammer and Nigel, live. The road show is happening currently at C&C Lounge in Greenwood on Main Street, premium cocktail cigars and much, much more. Be sure to ask them about their available memberships, and we are on a roll here, Hammer. Living the dream, a cigar in one hand, a cocktail in the other. I think we got the best gigs in America. I'm not sure about that, but I'm just going to tell you right now.

**Nigel** (0:32)
And we haven't even got to Beer Sample Friday yet.

**Hammer** (0:35)
Yeah, right. Beer Sample Friday coming up in 45 minutes.

**Nigel** (0:38)
We got a lot of our friends here. Drake came by earlier. My man, Eric's here hanging out. Alvie was here. Ethan Hatcher is going to join us here in just a little bit. The boy, Chris Hammer is here. If you want to come by and hassle him and Kevin and promotions, please do so.
But we do have an update. We've been talking about the Indiana Fever and Caitlyn Clark basically getting a gang style beat down in the last couple of games. They played against the Phoenix Mercury.

**Hammer** (1:08)
Truly.

**Nigel** (1:08)
And let's go to the hotline right now and bring on Scott Agness, covers the fever with Fieldhouse Files, covers the Pacers, covers the fever.
Scott Agness joins us. Scott, what's the latest on Caitlyn Clark?

**Scott Agness** (1:23)
Man, it sounds like you guys are at the place to be right now. I will say that. No kidding.

**Nigel** (1:29)
Let the record clear. Because I know my wife is listening.
That wasn't drunk me that made the mistake. That was Scott Agness on the other end.

**Scott Agness** (1:38)
Yes, it was. Yes, it was. As it relates to Caitlyn Clark, we will not see her for the second time this season coming up tomorrow night. And it's disappointing always, but especially so because it's a home game. It's national TV and in prime time on CBS. And even worse than that, LA Sparks are without two of their best players, Kelsey Plumb, Cameron Brink will not be playing. But Caitlyn was ruled out today by Stephanie White. I thought that was encouraging by the fact that they announced it ahead of time.
No need to string fans along if you do already know. And that was clearly the case here. And better yet, now they'll have a week between games. They have no games next week. So this gives Clark basically a runway of about 10 days to make sure she's good, feeling better and feeling confident, going into what will be a West Coast trip after that.

**Nigel** (2:28)
All right, Scott. So let's get into the reason why she's out. She left that game against the Phoenix Mercury a couple of nights ago, and that was the infamous game where another player basically punched her in the throat and then tried to step on her foot a little bit later on. She took a beat down of which none of those calls were made, by the way.
How did she get hurt?

**Scott Agness** (2:54)
We don't know that for certain. What we did visually see, guys, was a little later on, after that Alyssa Thomas sequence that has became widespread here, is she went for a three-point attempt, top of the arc, and kind of got undercut once again. And it went uncalled. Better yet, they went to the monitor to make sure it wasn't a follow-through foul on Caitlyn Clark after that, which was just, it's not even funny at that point, but it's ridiculous. And it's the challenge here. Well, first of all, to finish that, we saw Caitlyn from that moment kind of reach for her back, her thigh, quad, something around her back area that was giving her some kind of discomfort. She stayed in the game, returned for part of the second half, and later on with 5.15 left in the third quarter, was not feeling it during a timeout, and gingerly made a walk back to the locker room and was out for the rest of the game.

**Nigel** (3:51)
Okay. And I'm going to bring this up for the tin foil hat folks that follow the fever, but they see all the social media messages. Anything to the reports, not reports, but posts on social media that Caitlyn decided, screw this, if they're not going to call me getting punched in the throat, I'm out, I'm done, I don't want to play anymore. Is that any way at all possible?
